A connected care model needs a connected website.

For Southwest Community Care Partners, we built the experience around the relationships at the center of their work: healthcare organizations, community partners, and the people receiving support.

As their first website, it also needed to give them room to grow. We set up a flexible system with easy editing, reusable content, and added functionality they can tap into as the organization and network expand.

Last week Triangle UXPA hosted their 9th annual UX Y’all Conference, a space for designers to learn from one another and share conversations about our industry. Briana, one of MRN’s UX/UI Web Designers, attended the conference to bring recent industry insights back to the MRN team.

User Experience (UX) is a discipline of design aimed towards ensuring that a product is easy for users to navigate and effective at meeting their needs. UX Y’all was a great opportunity for us to talk about ways we can continue to keep users and business goals in alignment for every project.

UX in our work at MRN means making sure our work is sincerely tailored to its intended audience. We also think of websites as tools that can support a client’s own administrative work. Briana has brought back new methods and perspectives on how we can continue applying UX strategy and design to our projects and strengthen the relationship between user needs and website outcomes.

On Friday evening, MRN Web Designs founder Suzanne Jeska and her husband attended The Carying Place’s Enchanted Garden Gala, the organization’s largest annual fundraiser supporting its operating costs.

It was a wonderful evening celebrating the people, partners and supporters who make its work possible. Tonya’s story was a powerful reminder of how stable housing, guidance and compassionate support can change the direction of a family’s life.

Your website should make things easier for your audience and your team.

When we review a website at MRN, we look at both sides of the experience.

We look at what your visitors are trying to find, what questions they have, and where they may be getting stuck. But we also look at what is happening behind the scenes, like how your team updates content, manages forms, shares information, or works around parts of the site that are harder than they should be.

A well designed and developed website should help people find what they need and make the day-to-day easier for the people running it, too.

Before the clean layouts and developed pages, there’s a lot of brainstorming, sketching, notes, rough ideas, and working things through together as a team.

We like to step back and look at the big picture first, then figure out how all the pieces fit together in a way that makes sense to someone seeing it for the first time. That means organizing content, prioritizing messages, and making sure the most important thing is the clearest thing.

The polished design comes later.
