This week, our SEP volunteers spent the day at Camptown's new permanent location! The Natural Wonders Day Camp had it all — fishing, canoeing, hiking, and games with an awesome group of kids. Our CCO Mike Mumau, a long-time supporter and former Camptown board member, received a piece of the original Camptown climbing wall as a memento, a nod to where the organization got its start. We're proud to support what they're building. 💚🌿

Twenty-five years ago, Derek arrived at SEP straight from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Today, we're celebrating how far that journey has taken him! 🎉

Over the years, Derek has taken on technical leadership roles serving clients across energy, aerospace, consumer goods manufacturing, and entertainment. Whichever team he's been a part of, he's brought exceptional technical breadth and the kind of customer focus that clients notice and remember. His problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to build genuine trust with client teams show up in the software products that end users depend on every day. The teammates who've worked alongside him have valued his mentorship just as much.

Big news from The SEP Foundation — and a first. 🎉

This year, we're awarding The SEP Foundation Maker Scholarship to two recipients. José G. is studying computer science at Purdue University Fort Wayne and Ani A is studying computer engineering at Purdue University.

Dual recipients in a single year is a first for the scholarship, and it says a lot about the strength of this year's applicants. As our COO Traci Dossett put it: when you see talent like this, investing in both just feels right.

The Maker Scholarship ($5,000/year while enrolled) was created to support underrepresented students pursuing STEAM degrees at accredited Indiana institutions. We think that's worth investing in.

Congratulations to José and Ani. We can't wait to see what you build.

What an impressive group of students with incredibly bright futures ahead. ✨These awards recognize high school students for their achievements, leadership, and passion for technology and computing. 🎉 30 years with Brian Chapman! Three decades of bringing a sharp testing mindset to every project, asking the right questions, and rolling with whatever chaos comes his way.
