🔐 Quick Microsoft 365 security check for business owners:

Turning on MFA is a great start. But if "legacy authentication" is still enabled, older apps can sign in with just a password and skip MFA entirely.

It's one of the most common gaps we find, and cyber insurers now ask about it on renewal forms.

🔵 Quick question for Microsoft 365 admins:

Do you have Data Loss Prevention policies configured in your tenant right now?

Not planned. Not on the roadmap. Actually active and enforcing.

Most SMBs do not. And most do not realize what that means until they try to enable Copilot.

Without DLP policies Microsoft 365 has no mechanism to prevent a staff member from emailing client financial data to a personal Gmail account. No way to block a confidential contract from being shared to an external Teams guest. No governance context for Copilot when it generates responses drawing on sensitive content.

There are three DLP scenarios every SMB must implement before enabling Copilot:
