Here is a project that was a long time in the making ...GE console record player . Cabinet was refinished and repaired . I repaired the electronics and turntable ..it took a while to get everything all together but now it's done and working great ! 👍

Whew!! Kenwood KA-9150..Got er fixed up !! This is the integrated amp that I mentioned was worked on before I received it . Many solder joint issues , some broken wires , incorrect parts and then repairs were performed that was the original problem(s) ...got it tuned up and this baby jams !!

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY!! I will not be accepting any more items for repair until AFTER JANUARY 1 2027 ...I currently have enough items ..too many items in the shop now that it will take me into the new year to get everything accomplished ...there will be exceptions for those that have equipment for professional use ..I understand and I will do what I can ..but otherwise it does no good I have your items sitting in here ...

A project !! Pioneer M-22 Class A amplifier ! The main rail caps were failing and putting noise into the audio . Instead of doing a full replacement of the capacitors and taking away from the astethics of the unit , after discussion with the customer , it was decided that I would "restuff" the capacitors . It took a little enginuity to get it just right but I got it . The power supply circuit also needed some work and I always pull the output transistors, check the junctions and apply new heatsink compound ...especially important for Class A stuff !! Turned out great !! 👍

:::sigh::: Folks ..I know there are many of you folks that have "that friend" that says they do repair work but you ...those people read something online and think they're instaneously a technician . They see a you tube video and yep, I can do that ! ..NOT ALWAYS . hand skills and paying attention to detail are extremely important , as well as having an understanding of what is going on under that cover ...here I have an amplifier that was "recapped" by someone else and now there is no sound ...the solder work is extremely sloppy and the power supply board is sitting in the unit precariously about to ground out with the case of the unit ...I see issues with the frontend before I get it all apart ...folks. .first of all , it is not always necessary that your amplifier needs a "recap" ..and is it not always the solution to fixing your problem ! Please ! Just bring it in and have me look at it before you do this !! Not only will it make things easier for me to diagnose , but it will cost you much less if I work on it before someone else has their hands in it .

I also wanted you all to know that I may not always pick up the phone when you call. I have been getting a tremendous amount of spdm calls lately and frankly I get tired of people telling me I need to upgrade my Google search !! Also , there are times that I am in deep thought working on something ..
Just leave a message and l will get back to you ..unless you're wanting me to buy a extended warranty on my truck !! 😛😛😛
