Our VP of Engineering, Burhan Coskun, recently traveled to Singapore to visit our partners at Norman Audio, completing a full Relentless 1600 Z upgrade and walking the team through the new Z architecture at the heart of our latest generation of products.

On display: the Momentum Z Monoblock Amplifiers, Momentum C2Z Preamplifier, and the Relentless 1600 Z, driving the Magico LLC S5 loudspeakers with the authority and precision the Z architecture was built to deliver.

We recently visited Definitive to upgrade their Relentless 800 Monoblocks and Relentless Preamplifier to the new Z architecture.

The Relentless 800 Z inherits its core Z-technology topology from its larger sibling, the 1600 Z — centered around an advanced FET input stage that operates with zero drive current draw, eliminating voltage drop and signal attenuation. Ultra-fast slew rates ensure immediate transient response, eliminating clipping and dynamic compression.

The nearly 4kW transformer and 400,000 μF capacitor bank power 84 output devices, delivering 1,200W into 8 Ohms — and up to 4,800W into 2 Ohms on a 220-volt supply.

We have just completed our first full-system Relentless Z architecture upgrade in Asia.

President Bill McKiegan personally visited a remarkable custom-built listening room to install, calibrate, and fine-tune four Relentless 1600 Monoblock Amplifiers alongside our flagship three-chassis Relentless Preamplifier.

By actively lowering input impedance, the Relentless Z architecture allows the preamplifier to drive abundant current directly to the power amplifiers, delivering:
