Element 74 was proud to partner with the Missouri Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence to develop Vela. Before writing a single line of code, our E74 team began by listening to advocatesโ€™ experiences. We learned about the realities of advocatesโ€™ daily activities, the unique data reporting needs, the complexities of grant requirements, and the challenge of providing crucial social service

s while also reporting like a data analyst. With that shared understanding and an open dialogue, we began creating a solution that would streamline the most tedious and stressful aspects of data reporting and ultimately allow advocates more time to do the work you do best. Adopting a new system is a big step for any organization, especially when it involves survivor data and critical reporting.

In this video, Vela Product Director Katie Allaway shares a story about working with a client in Texas who spent more than 40 hours carefully evaluating Vela before launch.

Their team asked tough questions, tested the system thoroughly, and worked through a major transition as they moved their data and processes into a new platform.

Our team stood alongside them throughout that journey.

Recently, they sent a message thanking the Vela team for the care and commitment we showed during that process.
