FYI for my friends and those who run a business. If you think Ohio House and Senate Democrats are business friendly, I would encourage you to review the voting records on House Bill 33 and make that decision.
View that here: https://www.legislature.ohio.gov/legislation/135/hb33/votes
House Bill 33 Eliminates Ohio CAT (Commercial Activity Tax) for businesses doing under 6 million dollars in revenue a year.
That means a business that was doing 6 million in sales and was required to pay $15,600 in CAT will NO LONGER have to pay that tax in 2025 - the limit this year is 3 million which is up from 1 million last year, 2023.
What's better? House Bill 33 also eliminates double taxation (Tax on your business income when you earn it and taxes on your business income when you pay yourself)
This saves all of my businesses tax expense and time / money related to the filings! It also allows me to invest more money in growing my business, hiring more employees, and offer better benefits!
Thank you State Representative Rodney Creech , and house Republicans, for voting in favor of this legislation!
