Southern Tide Media

Southern Tide Media Southern Tide Media is a company designed to meet the changing marketing needs of your business, in Relationships first; we build brands by building them.

Southern Tide Media is a full-funnel marketing agency serving Myrtle Beach, the Grand Strand and clients nationwide since 2013. We run paid media, search and Amazon ads, SEO and content, email and CRM automation, social and reputation management, and we build the websites and apps behind them — one accountable team instead of five vendors. Every service runs on the AI systems we use in our own business daily, so the heavy lifting is faster and the reporting says plainly what changed and why. New this year: AI Visibility — getting your business named when customers ask ChatGPT, Google AI and Perplexity who to hire. Plain-English scorecards, published pricing, and a free AI Growth Snapshot to start.

We posted the Tucktec numbers last week. Here's what the client said, unprompted:

"Southern Tide Media has been an absolute game-changer for Tucktec Folding Kayaks! Their team combines top-tier digital marketing expertise with a true understanding of the outdoor and e-commerce space. They helped us dial in our campaigns, optimize our online presence, and elevate our brand reach in ways we couldn't have done alone. Professional, creative, and results-driven — we couldn't ask for a better partner."
— Dan & Heidi Norton, Tucktec Folding Kayaks

The part we're proudest of is "a true understanding of the outdoor and e-commerce space." You can't run a good account for a product you don't understand.

Our client sells folding kayaks. Their main competitor is the category leader, with a much bigger budget.

Conventional advice in that spot is to avoid the fight — go long-tail, find the gaps, don't try to outbid someone who can always outspend you.

We went at it directly instead, and the account has run at a 5.9× blended Google-attributed return over 23 months.

The reason it works isn't clever bidding. It's that a bigger budget buys you more auctions, not better ones. If you know exactly which searches convert for you and you're disciplined about ignoring the rest, you can win the auctions that matter and let the category leader have the ones that don't.

The whole case study, with the numbers, is on the site:

We put our prices on the website. All of them.

Agencies don't usually do this, and the reasons given are always about flexibility — every client is different, scope varies, let's have a conversation first. Some of that is fair. Most of it isn't.

Here's the honest version of why a quote wall exists: it lets the price be whatever the room will bear, and it turns a five-second question into a sales call.

You should know roughly what something costs before you spend an hour talking to someone about it. So our plans are on the page, with what's in each one. If your situation is genuinely unusual, we'll say so — but you'll start from a real number, not from a form.

When you take over a marketing account, you inherit the tag container too — and nobody ever reads it.

On one audit, four of five sites were firing a tracking pixel that nobody at the company could account for. Not malicious. Just left behind by an agency two relationships ago, quietly sending visitor data somewhere nobody had a login for.

Three questions worth asking about your own site this week:

1. What's actually in your tag manager, and who put it there?
2. Is anything firing that you can't name the owner of?
3. Are your conversions counted once, or three times? (We found an account counting every lead three times. Every cost-per-lead number they'd reported for a year was off by 3×.)

A client changed their business name and texted us a photo of the new sign from the parking lot.

That's a bigger job than it sounds. A name change isn't a logo swap — it's the website, the Google profile, the directory listings, the email signatures, the forms, the proposal that's already out. And the only usable version of the new mark was in that photo.

We rebuilt it clean, put it live on the site the same evening, and the proposal that had gone quiet came back the next morning.

The lesson we keep relearning: when a business name changes, the logo is the easy part. It's everywhere the old name is still sitting that costs you.

Three times in one month, a tool told us something was done. Three times it wasn't.

A deploy quietly erased a tracking script — the vendor's dashboard still said "detected." A settings change came back "Alert updated successfully," and the field still read 0.00. A dashboard showed a prospect ignoring us; she'd already replied.

None of those threw an error. Every one of them was green.

The habit that catches all three is boring and it works: after you change something, read it back from the system you changed. Not the confirmation message — the actual stored value. "Saved" is a claim. The value you read back is evidence.

We wrote up all three:

Two years ago "AI in your marketing" would have sounded like a pitch. Here's a client describing what it actually turned into:

"Southern Tide Media brings our resorts valuable hospitality experience and marketing expertise, seamlessly integrating AI into our marketing systems. Their approach provides predictive data insights, accelerates campaign ex*****on, and delivers tailored multi-channel strategies designed to strengthen performance and maximize results. Their customer service and responsiveness are unmatched."
— Chris Crowl, Oceana Resorts

That's the whole thesis in a client's own words. The hospitality experience is the part you can't automate. The AI is what makes everything else fast.

We rebuilt southerntidemedia.com — and put our own numbers on it.

Since 2013 we've been telling clients that their website is the hardest-working thing they own. Ours had quietly become the exception. So we fixed it.

• Case studies with the actual numbers — including the folding-kayak brand that outbid the category leader in its own auction, at a 5.9× blended return over 23 months.
• Ten write-ups from this year, including the ones where we got it wrong and said so.
• Every service and what it costs, on the page. No "request a quote" wall.

Two things on there are free and worth ten minutes: the AI Growth Snapshot, and the free website preview — we build your new homepage first, and if you love it, you own it.

⚠️ Myrtle Beach hoteliers: a WhatsApp scam is messaging your guests right now — with their real names, dates, and booking numbers — demanding they “verify” payment through a link. Your guests need to hear from YOU before they hear from the scammers. Here's what to tell them today, and what a same-day response looks like when it's done right: https://southerntidemedia.com/insights/whatsapp-scam-myrtle-beach-hotel-guests/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=whatsapp-scam-advisory-2026-08

Every month we send a five-brand resort group a 16-page performance report. Email campaigns, paid search, website analytics, AI visibility — all of it.

Here's the part worth knowing: almost none of it is assembled by hand anymore. We built connections straight into the data sources, so the numbers flow from the platforms into the report without a human retyping them. Our team's time goes into the two things software shouldn't do: judgment and strategy.

That's what "AI-powered agency" actually means around here. Not a chatbot on a website — hours of grunt work removed, so the hours you pay for are the thinking kind.

Ask your agency how their report gets made. The answer says a lot.
