A grocery store in Des Plaines called us in when one of their reach-in coolers stopped holding temperature. The product was on the line, and the case kept climbing.
Diagnosis: The compressor on the condensing unit had failed completely, so the unit had no way to remove heat and cool the case.
We replaced the compressor, checked the refrigerant charge, and confirmed the case pulled back down to temperature and held steady before we left the store.
Compressor failure is one of the more serious refrigeration issues we see. It usually means product loss fast if it's not caught in time.
We provide commercial refrigeration repair in Des Plaines, Chicago, and the NW Suburbs.
