Siyeh Communications

Siyeh Communications Open
Mon-Thur 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Friday 8:00 AM - Noon We have both legacy telephone and VOIP available to our customers.

Siyeh Communications currently offers voice and broadband services on the Blackfeet Reservation in the communities of Browning, Heart Butte, Starr School, Blackfoot and Duck Lake, as well as all the rural area in between including the Two Medicine River, Milk River, Badger Creek and Cut Bank Creek valleys. We can offer our services in a variety of ways including Fiber-to-the-Home, copper DSL and fixed wireless using the Blackfeet Tribe’s licensed 2.5GHz frequency. Our residential telephone is $22.50 per month, not including long distance, features, taxes, and fees. We offer a $5 dollar discount for voice if a customer also subscribes to one of our five broadband packages that range between 10MB and 100MB for between $49.95 and $114.95 per month. There are no data limits and is best effort. Not all packages are available in all areas at this time as we work to upgrade our system to the latest greatest technology which we have determined to be fiber optics, and our goal is to work to upgrade our entire exchange to this technology as soon as possible to keep the Blackfeet people from falling further behind in the digital world. 🔐 Welcome to Security Sunday!

Periodically on Sundays, Siyeh Communications will share a simple tip to help protect you, your family, and our community online.

This week’s topic: Think Before You Click
Phishing messages are designed to look like they came from someone you trust, such as your bank, a delivery company, a government agency, or even someone you know. According to the FBI, cyber-enabled fraud resulted in more than $17.6 billion in reported losses during 2025.

Before clicking a link in an unexpected email or text:

• Check the sender’s complete email address or phone number.
• Be cautious of messages creating fear or demanding immediate action.
• Never share your password or verification code.
• Open the company’s official app or website instead of using the link.
• When in doubt, contact the organization directly using a trusted phone number.

NIST recommends treating unexpected links and attachments with caution, especially when a message asks you to sign in, transfer money, or provide personal information.

A quick pause can protect your identity, accounts, and money.

Please share this post with your friends and family. The more informed our community becomes, the harder it is for scammers to succeed.

Ever wonder what's really different between copper, fiber, and satellite internet?

Copper has served our communities for decades, but it's aging, and that means more outages and speeds that can't keep up with what modern homes need for streaming, remote work, and video calls.

Satellite internet has come a long way, but it still comes with real tradeoffs, higher latency that affects video calls and gaming, performance that can dip in bad weather, and ongoing equipment costs.

Fiber-optic, what we're actively building across our service area right now, solves both of those problems: faster speeds, lower latency, and a connection built to last for decades, not years.

We know the wait for fiber has been long for some of you, and we're grateful for your patience as we finish the build. It's worth it.

🎒🤖 Back-to-school means new routines... and new technology.

AI is becoming a common homework helper, but the best way to use it isn't to find quick answers, it's to build understanding.

Encourage students to use AI to:
✅ Explain difficult concepts
✅ Brainstorm ideas
✅ Create study guides
✅ Practice what they've learned

And don't forget to remind them that AI isn't perfect! It's always a good idea to double-check facts, ask questions, and think critically. Technology is a great tool, but curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to learn will always be a student's greatest strengths. 📚💡

Mowing the lawn? Keep an eye out before you trim!

Utility markers and flags aren't just decorations – they help identify the location of important underground utilities, including Fiber Internet lines that keep homes and businesses connected. Accidentally hitting or removing them while mowing or doing yard work can create safety hazards and lead to costly repairs or service interruptions.

A few extra minutes of caution can help keep your yard (and your Internet connection) running smoothly!
