Happy Winter Solstice! Fortunately, all the darkness means more time to watch the aurora. Trooper Haley took this photo outside of Fairbanks on a long and cold Solstice night with temperatures hovering around -40. Even with the cold, he said it was still worth getting out of the car to capture the holiday light show.

I have been out of the game for the last month with a kidney stone that got stuck in the Urter tube!! It seems I had a kink in it.
Thank you to my wife who never left my side. Mamma Yo thank you for coming all the way out here so I could make a Dr appointment. To my brother in-law Nick Cardiel, man thanks for all you did, you get one day off and you spent two taking me places and just sitting for hours with me. Dennis you called me everyday when I was coming off the pain killers “that totally sucked bad” and all yours advice on dealing with that mess!! MOM you called me every afternoon to talk!!! Thank you 😊

I’m getting back on my horse a little at a time and looking forward to the future!!!!
That crap scared the 💩 out of me!
