This month we are honored to introduce you to one of our key teammates, Jonathan (Jon) Conley, and share our excitement of his 6 year anniversary with Ridgeline.
Jon began his telecom career working for Ridgeline after working in solar for five years and wanted to do something new; a whole new industry. His journey at Ridgeline began as a “knowledge hungry kid” who seized every moment to learn. Hired as a Designer I, he quickly went through the path to a Lead Designer, and when a spot opened in Engineering, he ”chased the spot like he owned it” and has been climbing through the ranks of Engineering ever since.
A few highlights about the man, the myth, the legend that is Jonathan Conley.
⭐️His vice is a nice cold Full Throttle or NOS in the morning.
⭐️As a child wanted to be a police officer because they helped people. As he got older, he wanted to be a math teacher. He still has a love for math and helping people today.
⭐️He has a fraternal twin brother, but you would swear they were identical.
⭐️Outside of work, his favorite things are playing games, building/painting models, and dioramas to enjoy and use on tabletop games, spending time with his wife and 5 kids, and loves going to the movies or out to dinner.
⭐️In addition to knowledge, his true motivation has and always will be his family. As the sole provider there has NEVER been an option to be anything less than what they needed him to be, and he says “there is MAGIC” in that fulfillment.
We asked Jon about his favorite parts about working at Ridgeline, in his own words, this is what he had to say:
💙The People. I have made some long-lasting friendships built on bonds over shared highlights and hardships, humor and stress, respect and sharing, and honesty at its best and worst.
💙I love a good challenge and rolling with the punches when they come, but nothing quite like accomplishing a task with minimal complications.
💙I find excitement in planning networks that will provide the areas with great access to high-speed internet. Every new project is prime full of new challenges for growth and experience. I truly believe the worth of an engineer is tied to the experiences they have as that adds additional tools to their arsenal for any future projects.
💙I take pride in my contributions to the growth and success of the company. We were just getting started with the Verizon contract when I joined. With my desire to be knowledgeable and helpful, I have directly contributed to the growth and success of the company.
