Equifax Breach information update - What You Should Know
There is a lot of information still coming in, but the major highlights are as follows:

1. Credit Monitoring – To notify you if a new account is setup in your name
2. Security Freeze – Offers the highest protection by locking the ability to create new accounts
3. Monitor Financial Accounts – Keep track of the flow of money from your accounts
4. Social Engineering Attacks – The bad guys are going to take advantage of this time period to try and trick you into releasing sensitive information

The bad guys are up to no good(again) with a new tool.

New Malware called "Dridex" is circulating and attempts to steal banking information from you.

From US CERT -> "The emails appear legitimate and are carefully crafted to entice the victim to click on a hyperlink or to open a malicious attached file."

This is not something to worry over, but it is a good time to remind everyone that if you receive an email with a link or an attachment that you do not explicitly know where it came from Do_Not_Open_It!

This is also a good time to make sure that you are running anti-virus to help stop this and other malware.

Microsoft is releasing its new Operating System called Windows 10 at the end of July and I wanted to give you some insight into what is going on.

On June 1st Microsoft started to set a program in place to let you know about the upgrade. You may have noticed a little Windows icon in the lower right corner of your screen (where your clock is).

Clicking on this icon opens a window and gives you the opportunity to reserve your upgrade. You may choose to either ignore it or put in your email address. Either way does not force you to choose now.

Windows 10 can (if you want) replace Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 that is on your PC or laptop now.

This is a free upgrade from Microsoft if you have Windows 7 or Windows 8.1.

We are still 2 months away but I wanted to let you know since your PC may start alerting you to the new Operating System.

If you receive a call from someone stating that they are from Microsoft and that your PC contacted them about problems or that it is sending out viruses it is a scam.

This scam that has been around for a while, but I have received several calls from clients in the past few days and want you to make sure to protect yourself. Some of these calls may look like they are coming from local numbers. The caller will want you to type in some commands in windows to fix the problem, but they are actually compromising your PC.

If you receive such a call, just hang up on them. If you think that your computer has been compromised then give me a call at (270) 792-3192.
