Hey, all! While working on growing Borrego Valley Community Radio - The RAM, Mike is still here to service all of your tech needs! If it plugs in or takes batteries, I work on it!
I work on all computers, phones, tablets, and all smart devices. I can set up your new TV, Roku, Fire Stick, as well as your sound system. I work on car stereos, key fob remotes, as well as portable audio gear. I have fixed clocks, lamps, blenders, coffee makers, and other small appliances. I have helped setup and tutor folks who had difficulty making sense of their new tech. I am your “FULL SPECTRUM” Tech Service, applying my problem solving skills across multiple platforms.

ATTENTION: present and future clients - As the time draws near to make a choice between upgrading to Windows 11 or staying on Windows 10, please know there are a couple of FREE options (as well as a $30 option) to stay on Win10. I can help you navigate how to handle those options, or get you on the road to a Windows 11 upgrade via a new PC or upgrading your existing, qualifying one!

Microsoft officially ends support for Windows 10 on Oct. 14, but those who don't want to make the move to Windows 11 yet can now sign up to remain on the aging OS for another year.

Starting today, individuals will begin to see an enrolment wizard through notifications and in Settings, making it simple for users to enrol in extended security updates directly from their personal Windows 10 PC through one of three available options.

1. Cash in 1,000 points from Microsoft's Rewards program; you earn points by using Microsoft's services. Downloading the Bing app alone, for example, gets you 500 points.

2. Sync your Windows Backup to Microsoft OneDrive. While Microsoft won't charge you anything extra for picking this option, you might need to buy extra OneDrive storage to fit your backup. By default, you only get 5GB for free.

3. Pay $30 to receive critical updates for one year.

It's 2024. You have that old record player you haven't heard since you were 10. It spins, but only emits a buzzing sound now. Bring it to me so it can sing again! This Phonola phonograph was SUCH a pleasure to restore and play for a client who hadn't heard it work since she was a kid. She was SO happy! Are you frustrated with the speed of your older laptop? Do you feel like you should get more time out of it? A Solid State Drive (SSD) may be the answer!  I can make your older laptop run faster than ever by installing one of two types of SSDs, and can make it happen for far less than purchasing a brand new laptop!  A conventional hard drive only has so much transfer speed available. A more modern solid-state drive has speeds capable of running beyond twice as fast.  I have already done a few of these jobs for people recently. It’s like their laptops are brand new again!
