Consistency beats talent every single time.

Thursday’s Evening Grind was nothing short of inspiring. We had 6 women in the room putting on an absolute clinic on what true dedication looks like.

As a coach, it’s great to see high energy on day one—but what these 6 ladies bring week in and week out is something entirely different. They show up after long workdays, leave their excuses at the door, and put in the quiet, consistent work that actually gets results.

What sets this group apart:
Unshakeable Consistency: Showing up every single week, ready to execute regardless of the day they had.

Relentless Work Ethic: Pushing each other to hit heavier numbers while holding the standard on form.

Pure Support: Cheering just as hard for the person next to them as they push for their own PRs.

Progression isn't built on occasional effort; it's built on showing up repeatedly when it’s tough. Massive respect to these 6 for setting the bar high and leading by example every Thursday night.

From behind the clipboard, there’s nothing quite like watching a plan come together—especially on a evening like yesterday.

When five ladies walk into the Evening Grind with one shared goal, the energy in the room shifts immediately. As a coach, you map out the programming, set the standards, and calculate the volume, but ex*****on is entirely on them. And yesterday? Every single one of them executed to perfection.

A Coach’s Standout Takeaways:
Relentless Focus: No wasted movement, no cutting depth short, and no taking the easy way out. They treated every set like a main attempt.

Shared Grit: When the workout hit that mid-session wall, nobody backed off. The mutual accountability in that group carried everyone through the final push.

The Standard is Raised: Seeing five women lock in, trust the process, and completely crush a tough session is why we build these programs.

It’s easy to write a hard workout on paper; it’s another thing entirely to watch athletes show up and make it look earned. Baseline reset, standard raised. Back to work tomorrow.

Show up. Work hard. Get results.

The Evening Grind kicks off at 6:00 PM! We’re running sessions every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 6:00 PM, and if you’ve been looking for a reason to break out of a workout rut, this is it.

Tuesdays & Thursdays (6:00 PM): Led by Chris

Wednesdays (6:00 PM): Led by Bobbi Jo the 🐝

There’s a reason people stick with group training longer and see better results: the environment does the heavy lifting.

Built-In Accountability: Knowing a coach and a team are waiting for you makes showing up effortless.

Shared Energy: When the person next to you is digging deep, you find that extra gear you didn't know you had.

Structured Progress: No guessing games—you just walk in, follow a targeted plan, and execute.

The Power of Community: Success is better when you celebrate it together.

Whether you're looking to hit lower body splits, build upper body strength, or push through Wednesday with Bobbi Jo, we've got a spot saved for you.

Why narrow grip benchpress for triceps?

Massive Mechanical Load: Triceps isolation exercises like kickbacks or pushdowns reach a threshold where secondary joints (wrists, elbows) become the bottleneck.

The close-grip bench allows you to safely load the triceps with significantly heavier weight because the pecs and front delts assist in the movement, exposing the triceps to high mechanical tension under maximum load.

Targeted Joint Kinematics: By narrowing your grip to shoulder-width and tucking your elbows closer to your torso (roughly a 45-degree angle), you shift the primary moment arm. Instead of wide elbow flare that maximizes shoulder horizontal adduction (pec focus), the close-grip forces greater elbow flexion and extension, transferring the primary force demand directly onto the triceps.

Overload on the Lateral and Medial Heads: Because the arm stays in front of the body without going overhead, the short and lateral heads of the triceps are placed in an optimal length-tension relationship to produce maximum force, driving the locked-out phase of the push.

Progressive Overload Tracking: It offers a predictable, highly measurable strength baseline. It is far easier to apply incremental, structured weight progression on a compound barbell lift over time than on single-joint extension exercises.

By tucking the elbows and maintaining a rigid wrist position, it hits the triceps with maximum force while keeping the shoulders in a stable, centered path.
