Our crews are back home after traveling to assist Southern Pine Electric Cooperative with hurricane Isaias restoration efforts!

From extensive storm damage to long hours in the field, our team worked hard to help restore power to all that they could! 💪

We’re proud of our crews for answering the call and stepping up when help was needed most. Thank you to Southern Pine Electric Cooperative for the opportunity to lend a hand!

We promised to tell you the Wi-Fi mistake almost every home makes. Here it is: the router gets boxed in. 📦

Mail piles up on it. Baskets get stacked around it. The cabinet door stays shut. It happens in almost every house, and all that clutter can weaken the signal before it ever leaves the shelf.

The 2-minute fix, right where your router already is:
✅ Clear off anything sitting on top of it or stacked around it
✅ If it's in a cabinet, leave the door open
✅ Unplug the router for 30 seconds, then plug it back in
✅ Disconnect old devices you don't use anymore, so they aren't sharing the signal

No tools and no service call needed. Try it tonight and see if things feel snappier.

⚡️Our PCEPA crews are headed out early this morning to Southwest Alabama to assist Southern Pine Electric Cooperative with storm restoration efforts following Hurricane Isaias. We’re proud to answer the call and lend a helping hand to fellow co-op members and crews when they need it most.

Whether your family is hanging decorations or trimming trees, always look up and check for overhead power lines before setting up ladders. Keep an eye out for tree branches growing into or touching power lines too. Maintain a 10-foot distance from all lines and keep your whole pack safe. 🌕🐺

Safety Tip: Keep metal ladders, holiday decorations, and tree-trimming tools far away from power lines.

Our Safety Coordinator, Phillip, stopped by Eubank Construction this morning to spend some time with their crew and talk about the importance of staying safe around power lines while working.

Construction sites can be busy, and it’s easy to overlook what’s overhead when you’re focused on the job. Taking a moment to look up, stay aware, and know where power lines are located can help prevent a serious accident.

We appreciate the Eubank crew taking the time to visit with Phillip and make safety a priority! 💙

Fall officially begins today, and it's the perfect time to start prepping your home for cooler days ahead. 🍁 Check your weatherstripping and door seals for drafts, have your HVAC system inspected before you need the heat, and swap your ceiling fans to spin clockwise to push warm air back down. A little preparation now can keep your home comfortable all season long. 🏡

E is for Electricity!

Safety Coordinator, Phillip, had a fun visit with the preschoolers at First Methodist today as they learned all about the letter E — for electricity! 💡

The kids got an up-close look at one of our bucket trucks and learned a little about what electricity does and how our crews work to safely keep the lights on in our community.

We love getting to visit with our youngest members and make learning about electricity fun! Thank you First Methodist Preschool for having us! ❤️⚡️

We loved getting the opportunity to visit Jumpertown High School and share a little about engineering and careers in the power industry! Chris enjoyed connecting with the students and giving them a glimpse into the opportunities available right here in our community.
