We've gotten a lot of questions from our clients surrounding how to get a business recommended by AI. So much so, in fact, that we decided to run two workshops in September to answer as many questions as possible. If you know any business owners right now, chances are this is a big question mark in their mind that could use some clarity. Feel free to pass this along.

There's something rewarding about helping great local businesses tell their story online. We've been putting the finishing touches on a new website for David and Stephanie Vasquez, the founders of Idaho Landscape Creations. Their mission is simple: Transforming Outdoor Spaces in the Treasure Valley. This screenshare captures exactly what they do best: turning ordinary yards into beautiful places where families can make memories

We knew AI would rewrite the rules of SEO (although, honestly, it has happened faster than I anticipated).

The trend we DIDN'T predict is how Local SEO is now more important than ever.

Each AI platform is putting different weights to online criteria for searches with local intent. But all of them are viewing Google Business Profile and other profiles, like Yelp, as a top indicator on what businesses to highlight in their answers to these local queries.

But getting found is only half the equation.

Once that AI answer sends someone to a website, the site has to close the deal. Here's how we are closing that gap with local clients

We want to highlight a local business this morning. Fine Grade Concrete and Landscapes is an exceptional company. The owner, Dillon, is a family-man and extremely down-to-earth. Simply a great human being, and his craftsmanship is impeccable. We just launched his website redesign on Monday. Had a lot of fun with this one: https://finegradeconcretelandscapes.com/

Also did a deeper dive into the strategy behind our design decisions: https://fierceisland.com/portfolio/fine-grade

A few weeks after launching a new website for a Boise mortgage broker, I ran into the owner leaving a restaurant.

Before I could say hello, I heard this: "Great news! A prospective client just filled out a mortgage application and I haven't even spoken with them."

A stranger had spent 30 minutes completing a mortgage application without a phone call or a meeting first. Gavin was at lunch.

I was thrilled to hear it, but not surprised, because that is the goal.

A website that actually works should look great, yes. But it’s more than that. It earns trust before you've said a word, qualifies the right people, and moves them to action on their own terms. (And it tells the tire-kickers to keep walking.)

We built The Sessions Group's site around one question: what does your ideal client need to see, feel, and do, and in what order?

The answer became a 3-page site that functions as a complete lead generation system. One homepage, one lead capture page, and one month to launch.

In my newest blog post (https://fierceisland.com/blog/your-website-should-close-leads-even-while-you-re-at-lunch), I break down exactly how we structured the website, covering design decisions, content strategy, trust signals, and conversion architecture.

If your website isn't closing leads while you're at lunch, this one's for you.
