For our service highlight this week we’re going to be talking about Foil Stamping!

Foil stamping is a multifaceted printing process which involves applying metallic or pigmented foil onto material to create an eye-catching label with a shiny finish. ✨

These eye-catching labels can be achieved by either hot🌡 or cold ❄️ stamping. Hot stamping involves using heated molds to transfer metal foils onto a label’s surface.

Cold stamping however is different in that no special molds are needed; the foil is transferred with an adhesive and more cost effective printing plate. Cold foil is offered in both silver and gold and can be tinted to any desired color, while hot stamping is offered in many different shades!

To kick off our sustainability series we're going to take a look at the “Packaging Life Cycle." Each step of a package’s "life” - its production, use and disposal - has its own challenges and industry standards that determine its effects on the environment. ♻️

The choices that are made at each step in a package’s “life” determine how it impacts the environment. 🌎 This includes the materials used to produce it, the manufacturing practices, the way it is shipped to consumers, 🚚 and the actions consumers take after they have purchased a product.

To be able to give you and your brand peace of mind when working with us, we will be looking at each of these steps over the next few weeks and outlining their effect on the environment as well as what the printing and packaging industry is doing to make this process more sustainable.

Happy Wednesday everyone! ☀️
For our service highlight this week we will be looking at the Flexographic (Flexo) printing process. ✨

Flexo printing can be used to print multiple types of packaging (e.g, labels, shrink sleeves, folding cartons), and is typically used for higher volumes of production. Flexo printing is also great for printing in large solids and matching spot PMS colors. 🎨

Although the set up time for production and plate costs can be long and costly for flexo projects, fast 🏃‍♂️ production speeds coupled with high volumes makes this a great printing option for many brands!
