We're coming into the final months of 2025, and that usually means its time for small businesses to renew their cyber insurance policy. This usually comes with a list of requirements from your insurance provider to ensure that your IT environment is safe, secure, and most importantly, in compliance and able to be insured properly.

October 2025 is right around the corner. If your Organization's Windows 10 systems aren't able to upgrade to Windows 11, it's time to look for replacements; Windows 10 will no longer receive regular security updates unless you choose to pay for a limited window of extended support. Without these critical updates, your systems remain vulnerable to threat actor intrusion as the holes in the wall are no longer being sealed.

In 2025, Walls Technology is looking to lock-in on the ever growing importance of our client's cybersecurity standards. Many organizations, especially those who hold confidential information for their customers and clients, need to adhere to a cybersecurity policy to ensure they are compliant in case the worst happens. However, as technology grows and evolves, so do the requirements an organization must meet. This can be daunting, but never fear; I'm here to help!

This year, Walls Technology can help you:

-- Run through your Cyber Insurance Policy and ensure that you are meeting your policy providers' criteria.

-- Develop an Incident Response Plan. In the event of an emergency or cyber incident, we want your business IT infrastructure to be rebuilt in an efficient and timely manner.

-- Document your organization's IT environment to ensure that passwords are safe, security measures are in place, and to keep a close eye on equipment.

-- Continuing Maintenance to ensure that your systems continue to run smoothly, are receiving all necessary security updates, and keep your endpoints cyber safe.

Windows 10 will reach the end of its support life in October 2025. Unless you plan on purchasing extended support from Microsoft, Windows 10 machines will need to be upgraded to Windows 11 or replaced with a Windows 11 device. Devices that aren't replaced will be vulnerable to intrusion, as the holes in the wall will no longer be filled. With holiday deals persisting through December, many organizations choose to make these purchases prior to the next fiscal year.
