Help us welcome Mark Gruschow and Reed Joiner to the DataPerk team!

Mark joins our Pensacola team, while Reed joins us in Birmingham, both as Tier 1 Support Services Technicians.

Talk about making a great first impression! During their very first week, these two teamed up and took home FIRST PLACE in our company co****le tournament!

Not a bad way to kick off their DataPerk careers! We’re excited to have you both on the team. Welcome to DataPerk!

Stay Safe, Pensacola!

As Hurricane Isaias approaches, we’re keeping our Pensacola DataPerk team, their families, our clients and everyone in the storm’s path in our thoughts.

We’re closely monitoring the storm and are here to support our clients before, during and after the severe weather.

If your business needs assistance preparing its technology or safely shutting down equipment, our team is here to help.

📧 [email protected]

Most importantly, please stay safe and follow guidance from local officials. We’re thinking of you, Pensacola!

When your client says you feel less like their IT provider and more like part of their own team, that’s something worth celebrating.

"Scott always wears the HAT. I can't think of a single time I've needed IT support, and he didn't respond with urgency, professionalism, and genuine care. He is always willing to help, always looking for ways to contribute, and often goes above and beyond his job." - Ginger Tate, Milo's Tea Company

This is what being a true technology partner looks like. HATs off to you, Scott! We’re proud to have you representing DataPerk!

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the courage of the first responders and everyday heroes who stepped forward in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

We remember the strength, compassion and unity shown in the days that followed. May we never forget.

We may have cheered against each other on Saturdays, but our tailgate party proved we could still have a pretty good time together. 😉🏈

We broke out the team colors and enjoyed some game-day fun before kickoff this weekend. No matter who we cheered for, it was a win getting everyone together.

There’s something special about building a business in the city you’re proud to call home.

DataPerk is proud to be ranked #3 on the Birmingham Business Journal’s list of Birmingham’s 21 Largest Tech Employers!

For 25 years, Birmingham has been home to DataPerk. We’ve had the opportunity to grow alongside this community, create careers in technology and help businesses throughout Birmingham use IT to grow with confidence.

Being recognized among the city’s largest technology employers is an exciting milestone, but what makes it meaningful is the team behind it. Our growth is a reflection of the talented people who show up every day to take care of our clients and continue moving DataPerk forward.

5 Signs It’s Time to Replace Your Firewall 🔥
Your firewall is your business’s first line of defense, but it isn’t designed to last forever.

Here are 5 signs it may be time for an upgrade:

1️⃣ It’s reached or is approaching end-of-life.
Once the manufacturer stops supporting it, security updates and patches may stop too.
2️⃣ Your internet feels slower than it should.
Older firewalls can become a bottleneck as internet speeds and network demands increase.
3️⃣ It can’t support today’s security features.
Modern threat protection, secure remote access and advanced monitoring require newer technology.
4️⃣ Your business has outgrown it.
More employees, devices, locations and cloud applications can mean your firewall is working harder than it was designed to.
5️⃣ You don’t know the last time it was replaced.
That alone is worth checking.

A firewall shouldn’t be something you think about only when it stops working.
Not sure how old yours is? DataPerk can help you take a look and make sure your network is ready for what’s next.

As we wrap up another incredible summer, we’re saying “see you later” to our summer intern, Brandon!

Over the past few months, Brandon has jumped into projects across marketing, sales, and technology, gaining hands-on experience while bringing a great attitude, curiosity, and willingness to learn every day. From seeing how client relationships are built to experiencing the fast-paced world of managed IT, cybersecurity, and business operations, he’s been an awesome part of the DataPerk team.

We love investing in the next generation of professionals, and it has been a pleasure watching Brandon grow throughout the summer. We’re excited to see what’s next for him and can’t wait to follow along on his journey.

Thanks for spending your summer with us, Brandon and special thanks for the cookie cake! Wishing you all the best this school year and beyond, you’ll always have a team cheering you on!

There are awards that recognize what you do, and then there are awards that recognize who you are. This one means a little more.

We’re incredibly honored to share that DataPerk has been named 3rd Place in the Birmingham Business Journal’s Best Places to Work! 💚

As we celebrate 25 years of DataPerk, this recognition is a reminder that our greatest accomplishment has never been the technology, it’s the people. Every person on our team helps create a culture built on trust, collaboration, growth, and genuinely caring for one another. That’s something you can’t manufacture, and we’re grateful for it every single day.

To our incredible team: thank you. Thank you for showing up, supporting one another, embracing our values, and making DataPerk a place where people truly want to work. This award belongs to each of you.

Thank you to the Birmingham Business Journal for recognizing organizations that put people first, and to Haven Event Space for hosting such a beautiful evening celebrating Birmingham’s amazing companies.

We’re proud of where we’ve been, excited for where we’re headed, and grateful for everyone who’s been part of the journey. Here’s to the next 25 years. 💙💚
