Let's talk about something people get wrong.
When you hire a photographer or videographer, you are NOT buying all the photos and footage. You're buying the finished product: the edited images, the final film. That's what the contract says.
Here's how it works: I might shoot 700 photos at your wedding. You get the best ones, fully edited, because culling and editing IS the craft. The blurry ones, the test shots, the 15 versions of the same pose. Those aren't deliverables. Same with video: hours of raw footage get shaped into the film you paid for.
The raw files belong to the person who created them. That means they belong to Upwords Imagery, like every professional in this industry. What you get is a license to use the finished work. Print it, post it, keep it forever.
Think of it like a restaurant. You pay for the meal, not the groceries and the recipe. You hired me for my eye, not my hard drive.
Respect the craft and read your contract. 📸
