A common question we’ve been getting a lot lately: (What is DTF, and is it better than screen printing)?
Well the truth is, this is very similar to the electric vehicle Vs. Gas Vehicle question/ debate and boils down to they both have a place in the market, but which applications fits your design needs best? Yes your design needs, not your budget.
DTF can be the budget friendly option for large multicolor designs, but that doesn’t mean it’s going to give you the most comfortable wear. The design on the left is a (9 Color) screen print, and is a large canvas like print but offers breath ability and a soft feel where this design done with DTF would not be breathable and would feel very heavy on the back of your shirt.
Screen Printing, can be budget friendly but may not be as affordable with smaller quantity orders that have a large amount of colors or require high resolution images. This image on the right is a DTF print, and allows for high resolution multi color printing at a more affordable price.
