A&E + SMA Design worked with Providence St. Patrick Hospital to expand and modernize its clinical laboratory to provide space for new cutting edge equipment, creating a more efficient and functional environment for both staff and patients. The renovation transformed an adjacent space to accommodate advanced medical technology, improve laboratory workflows, and provide dedicated office space for staff.

Our Environmental Graphic Design team recently visited Sam McDonald Stadium at Daylis to review the installation of environmental graphics, signage, and school-specific branding, ensuring the final details were executed as intended. From bold graphics and school colors to visual elements that transform for each team, the design brings Senior, Skyview, and West together in a shared space while celebrating each school’s unique identity and pride.

A fresh look for a Bozeman favorite. ☕️

The Daily Coffee in Bozeman’s Cannery District got a thoughtful interior refresh designed to make the space work better for both customers and staff. Our interiors team improved customer flow, waiting areas, and upstairs seating while keeping The Daily’s personality front and center.

Custom furniture, environmental graphics, and pops of signature Daily Yellow bring personality throughout the space while creating a clean, modern setting for great coffee and treats.

A fresh, vibrant space for play, learning, and connection at the Gallatin Valley YMCA!

The renovation of the existing Lone Mountain Gym will expand access to children’s programming with new dedicated program spaces, sport courts, and flexible areas designed to support a variety of activities. The project also includes a fully renovated pool and new office space for YMCA staff.

Bold color and YMCA-inspired branding will bring new energy to the space, creating a welcoming environment where kids and families can learn, move, and connect.

The crane has officially arrived on site for the new AC Hotel, marking an exciting milestone as construction moves forward. Designed to reflect the character of Billings, the hotel draws inspiration from the Rims, the region’s agricultural roots, and local culture to create a destination that feels distinctly connected to its surroundings.

We’re excited to see this project continue to rise and become part of the Downtown Billings skyline!

The new terminal's expansive windows frame views of the Bitterroot Valley and fill the space with natural daylight, while clean lines, soaring volumes, and warm wood finishes create a contemporary passenger experience that feels both elevated and grounded in place.

Designed with sustainability and future growth in mind, the terminal incorporates geothermal heating and cooling, automatically tinting glass, abundant natural daylight, and durable materials, creating a modern gateway that feels distinctly Montana.

Gallatin Hall was designed in close collaboration with Montana State University to create a student-centered home on campus that balances independence, connection, and a strong sense of place. Named for the Gallatin River, the hall reflects MSU’s connection to Montana while creating a place for students to call home.

The LEED® Certified building incorporates solar panels, natural ventilation, daylighting, locally sourced and recycled materials, and strong connections to the outdoors. A glass east façade welcomes students inside, while the fourth-floor sky lounge offers sweeping views of the Bridger Mountains.

The District Kitchen is the heart of Helena Public Schools’ nutrition program, preparing meals for students from preschool through high school across the entire District.

As part of the 2025 High School Bond, a new, appropriately sized District Kitchen will provide the space and equipment needed to offer more fresh, scratch-made meals, safely store food, reduce waste, improve campus circulation, and make the most of available federal food commodities. Construction is underway on the north end of the Helena High School site, and by summer of 2027 meals will be prepared here and distributed across the District.

Though much of its work happens behind the scenes, the District Kitchen supports every classroom District-wide. When students have access to healthy, nourishing meals, they are better prepared to learn, grow, and thrive.
