The A&E + SMA Bozeman team kicked off our first summer together with an afternoon of Western-themed camp activities, where bragging rights were on the line.

We put our skills to the test with mechanical bull riding, tug of war, water balloon tossing, paddle board racing, and pie eating — shout out to Jake, our pie-eating champion! And congratulations to our overall winning team, Ya’Herd! Turns out, merging teams is easy. Agreeing on who actually won the water balloon toss? That might take some time.

Here’s to new teammates, a little friendly competition and plenty more good times ahead!

Our team partnered with Gibson to transform its Acoustic Manufacturing Facility through a carefully phased expansion and renovation that kept production moving every step of the way. From a refreshed showroom and modern workspaces to expanded employee amenities, every detail was designed to support the people behind the craft while celebrating the brand's legendary legacy.

By keeping the character of the original facility and more than doubling its manufacturing capacity, this project helped position Gibson for its next chapter without losing sight of where it all began.

We're excited to see our design for the new Sam McDonald Stadium at Daylis nearing completion. Designed with modern team facilities, expanded fan amenities, and upgraded track and field facilities, the project honors nearly a century of history while creating a space for future generations of athletes, students, and the community.

Hyalite Hall shows how helping people find their way can also bring energy and personality to a space.

Throughout Montana State University’s 480-bed residence hall, our EGD team transformed large walls into visual landmarks students can see, recognize, and remember. Bold graphics bring place-based character into the interiors, making the building easier to navigate and a lot more fun to experience.

Bozeman's Bay Bar & Grille has reopened with a reimagined interior, where a relocated kitchen allows the bar to take center stage. Rich wood, sculptural brass-toned shelving, warm lighting, and vintage-inspired ceiling details give the space personality, energy, and lasting character.

The Perkins Call Canine Center creates a dedicated home for a rare academic program, one designed around the study of human-animal relationships.

A&E + SMA Design planned the facility for Carroll College’s accredited Anthrozoology program, with spaces for hands-on canine training, cognitive and behavioral research, instruction, and campus events. The facility is organized for two linked buildings: the Training Building supports active instruction and large-group use, while the Research Building includes classrooms and research areas planned for long-term adaptability. Between them, a transparent entry foyer and lounge reimagines the historic dogtrot concept, where a breezeway connects two building sections.

Set on the east edge of campus overlooking Centennial Park, the project uses terraced walls to shape the sloping site and connect the building to its landscape.

For Carroll’s students and faculty, the facility provides the space, visibility, and flexibility this nationally distinctive program deserves.
