A sales page with me starts at 750, and a non-commerce custom site averages around 6k.
I don't over-charge, despite doing this for 15 years, but also people find my rates too high sometimes for a simple job.
I also don't let the customer choose the hosting or platform - it's either my recommendation, or do it yourself.
Because I've been doing it for 15 years, and wasted a good chunk of that time "re-doing" the client's decisions when at the end of the day, they should've done it "my way".
