How much revenue is your hospital losing in the OR?

Most surgical charge capture workflows rely on manual documentation, item master accuracy, and processes that break under real-world conditions.

The result: missed implants, incomplete records, and lost revenue.

In one case, AI captured 127% more chargeable value than standard EHR documentation.

This isn’t a one-off issue. It’s a systemic gap.

Watch how hospitals are uncovering and recovering lost revenue with AI.

02/08/2026

When clinical workflow technology does not align with real procedural workflows, nurses are left compensating for system gaps after the fact.

That compensation is rarely visible. It shows up as reconstruction, rework, overtime, frustration, and data that looks complete but cannot be fully trusted.

In a new guest blog, Ann Williamson, PhD, RN, NEA-BC draws on more than four decades of nursing and healthcare executive leadership to examine how clinical workflow technology either supports nurses during care or shifts the burden onto them afterward.

In procedural environments, care always comes first. When technology is misaligned with how care is delivered, documentation does not disappear. It is deferred, and nurses pay the price later.
