wt360 Weather Brief 30 May '26 Video Update: A recap of May shows the month trending the coolest in 5 years for the U.S. overall and driest in 3 years. The middle May period with the heatwave was the best period for stronger seasonal sales but the cooler front half and wetter latter half dampened demand for seasonal sales.

Your last weekend of May (30-31) outlook: May came in cold for the U.S. overall, it's going out cool for the U.S. overall. Nationally the weekend trends -1F cooler than last year, 12th coolest in 41 years withe below average national temps. Northeast coolest spot, West pretty cool too with the heat in the Central Plains.

Rainfall up +13% vs last year, most in 8 years and 13th wettest in 41 years. Southeast has gone from extreme drought to flood concerns - more rain this weekend.

Hot 90F days down -14% vs last year, least in 5 years and below average. We know of a few fans in PA that are happy about the cool conditions...you know who you are. HA

Your 16-17 May Weekend Outlook: After a chilly gloomy Mother's Day weekend here in the Northeast last weekend, we're very excited about the upcoming big WARM UP and SUN! While we get a better weekend, the Pacific Northwest has a major cool down with dare we say it, some snow in the higher elevations. The Central U.S. will be the hottest spot and Iowa the stormiest spot.
