While I was away, someone came into Ship Arizona, saw Aysia and asked, “Oh, Leslie isn’t here… can you still ship something?” 😂📦

Aysia and Lyla are fully trained to keep Ship Arizona running whether I’m standing behind the counter, traveling for the business, or just not sitting in THE chair. 🪑🤣

🖨️ Printer update: Our big color printer is still being a diva. 🙄 The replacement part was delayed by today’s highway issue and should arrive first thing tomorrow. We do have backup printers for limited printing and copies.

🚫 And one reminder: Fingerprinting is no longer available.

🌞 Sunday Reflections: Viva Las Vegas! 🎰❤️
What a weekend! Being in Vegas included a Tesla ride WITH a driver through the underground Vegas Loop tunnels from the Convention Center to Westgate! 🚗💨 Last night I saw the spectacular Sphere lit up from the road AND my hotel, enjoyed live music 🎶, and spent time with some wonderful friends who truly understand the crazy world of owning a packing and shipping store! 📦❤️

After surviving 12,000+ steps a day 👟 (my feet may never forgive me 😂), I'm heading home with sore muscles, new friendships, fresh ideas, and LOTS of inspiration!

Even better? New products are coming to Ship Arizona! 🎉 Give me approximately a week to get everything loaded onto our NEW website, and I'll start sharing what's coming!

🙏 Feeling incredibly blessed and grateful for the opportunity to learn, grow, laugh, and surround myself with people who understand the challenges AND joys of small business ownership.

Sometimes you have to step away from your business to discover new ways to grow it. ❤️

🌞 Sunday Reflections: Viva Las Vegas! 🎰❤️
What a weekend! My Vegas trip included a Tesla ride WITH a driver through the underground Vegas Loop tunnels from the Convention Center to Westgate! 🚗💨 Then last night a different ride, not the loop, meant seeing the spectacular Sphere lit up from the road and my hotel, enjoyed live music 🎶, and spent time with some wonderful friends who truly understand the crazy world of owning a packing and shipping store! 📦❤️

We’re open 9 AM–2 PM today, so knock those errands out now instead of joining the Monday rush! 😄

📦 Shipping: We can pack & ship today — packages head out Monday.
🖨️ Copies: Our big color printer is still being temperamental 🙄 Part arrives Monday afternoon, but our backup printers can handle limited copying today.
✍️ Notary: YES! Notary services are available today!
🧬 Cologuard/medical test kits: Please hold completed kits until Monday so they don’t sit over the weekend.
🗑️ Shredding: Bring it in! Our secure shredding company picks up Thursday, so this is a great weekend to clear out those old documents. 🧾➡️♻️
Don’t save everything for Monday… everyone else has the same idea. 😂

Unlike the ladies in 9 to 5, we’re not plotting against the boss today… but we DO have a whole lot of paper we’d be happy to destroy for you. 😂📄➡️🗑️

🔒 Our secure shredding bins are ready and waiting, with our next pickup coming Thursday! Bring us those old tax records, statements, paperwork and confidential documents you’ve been meaning to get rid of.

🖨️ And in a very appropriate 9 to 5 plot twist, our big color printer has decided to be temperamental. 😂 It’s working, just not pretty — and a replacement part is making its way from Tucson this afternoon.

Apparently even the office equipment wanted in on Dolly Day. 🤦‍♀️🤣

💐🚀 What. A. Week. ✈️💚
Tuesday morning, I walked into Ship Arizona to find these beautiful flowers from a thoughtful customer who knew I’d had a less-than-stellar weekend and an outpatient procedure at the hospital Monday. 💐🥹 Sometimes a little kindness arrives at exactly the right time.
Then today… MOONSHOT! 🚀
19 Cochise County businesses competed, and Ship Arizona made the TOP 8! 🎉🙌 We didn’t bring home a grant this time, but I’m proud of our plans to expand services, create new revenue streams, and build an even stronger, more sustainable business. 💚📦
And I’m not done learning—or trying for those grants! 😉
✈️ Tomorrow: Las Vegas! I’m headed to PRINTING United Expo + the AMBC event to learn from industry experts and fellow independent store owners. 📦🖨️🚚

🐉🎉 WE HAVE A DRAGON WINNER! 🎉🐉
Congratulations to Justus, one of our young local residents, who tried his luck at the 3D-printed fidget vending machine inside Ship Arizona!
Justus put in his $5 token, received his fidget ball and discovered he had a WINNER! 🏆 That meant he also got to choose a 2-FOOT 3D-PRINTED DRAGON! 🐲
Considering those dragons retail for $14.95, I'd say he got a pretty great return on his $5. 😂👏

And yes, Ship Arizona may be where you come to mail, pack, ship, receive packages, make copies, print, fax, scan, shred or get something notarized... but there's a whole other side of our store you might be missing! 👀🛍️

We carry an assortment of items from local makers, authors and small businesses, and many of our vendors have been busy restocking their displays as we head toward the holiday shopping season. 🎁

💙 An important reminder about Cologuard® returns
We’ve been seeing 4–8 completed Cologuard kits dropped off at Ship Arizona every day, and I have to say—it’s encouraging to see so many people taking that step for early detection. 💙

This one is personal for me. My mom passed away from Stage IV colon cancer in 2020, so every time I see one of these kits come into our store, I’m glad someone completed their screening and is getting it sent back.

But because these are medical specimens being returned by expedited service, timing matters! ⏰📦
👉 Please bring your completed kit to Ship Arizona Monday–Friday, preferably early afternoon and BEFORE our afternoon carrier pickup.

🚨 FRIDAY IS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT. Please have it to us before 3:30 PM. If the carrier has already picked up, we don't want your specimen sitting here through the weekend.
🚫 Please DO NOT bring completed Cologuard kits on Saturday. We cannot accept them because there is no carrier pickup until Monday.

You’ve already taken the important step of completing the screening—let’s make sure it gets on its way promptly. 💙

🙏 Sunday Reflection: Strength, Faith & Rest
Owning a small business in a rural community is not easy. There are long days, sacrifices behind the scenes, and moments when the numbers make you question whether continuing even makes sense.

Yet Ship Arizona is still here.

I believe there is value in serving this community, providing services close to home, creating local jobs, supporting other small businesses, and continuing to build something Benson and Cochise County need.

This coming week is a big one for me personally and professionally. Tomorrow brings a medical procedure. Wednesday is my Moonshot Pitch. Then I head to an industry event looking for new ideas and opportunities to help Ship Arizona grow.
There is plenty on my mind.
But today is Sunday. Today I am reminding myself that I don't have to carry everything at once.

“She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she can laugh at the days to come.”
Proverbs 31:25
And when that strength feels a little harder to find:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28

So today, I choose faith over worry, gratitude over frustration, and rest before the week ahead. 🙏❤️

Ship Arizona exists because this community continues to support us, because I continue to believe in what we are building, and by the grace of God, we keep going.

💚 One VERY big week ahead.
One of the things about owning a small business is that business and real life don’t always take turns. Apparently, next week they’ve decided to show up all at once. 😂
❤️ Monday, I’ll be at the hospital for an important cardiac test that will help my doctors determine what comes next for me medically.
🚀 Wednesday, I’ll stand in front of the judges for the Moonshot Pitch Competition, sharing my vision for growing Ship Arizona into Cochise County’s Small Business, Freight & Shipping Hub.
✈️ Thursday night, I’m off to Las Vegas for the Printing United Expo and AMBC (Assoc. Mailbox Business Centers) event, spending Friday through Sunday learning, networking with other independent shipping-store owners, touring stores, and looking for new ideas and services I can bring back to Benson.

And somewhere in there, I still have a business to run. 📦😂

It’s quite a week—taking care of myself, pitching the next chapter of Ship Arizona, and continuing to learn how to build an even better business for our community.

So if I’m a little quieter or missing more than usual next week, now you know why.

Monday: Take care of me. ❤️
Wednesday: Pitch the dream. 🚀
Thursday: Pack my suitcase. ✈️
Friday: Keep learning and building. 💚
