After more than 31 years of dedicated service to Paul Bunyan Communications, Jr. Vold, Engineering & Construction Supervisor, is retiring! 🎉
Jr.’s career with us began in July 1995 as a member of the construction crew. By 1999, he had become Construction Foreman, and in 2008, he moved into his current role in Engineering. From working in the field and leading construction crews to overseeing engineering and construction projects, Jr. has played an important role in building and maintaining the network that serves our members and communities.
Jr. credits former supervisor Bryan Marsh with having a significant influence on his career. Over the years, Jr. has gone on to share his own experience and knowledge with coworkers across the co-op. His leadership, hard work, and commitment to PBC have made a lasting impact, and we’re grateful for all he has contributed throughout his career.
After working in this field since 1990, Jr. says he’s ready to trade work projects for a few projects of his own - including competing in more rib competitions! He and his wife are planning a trip to the Black Hills for some side-by-side riding, with plenty of time ahead to enjoy hobbies, competitions, and new adventures. We’re happy for Jr. and excited to see him begin this well-earned next chapter.
Congratulations on your retirement, Jr.! Thank you for more than three decades of service and for all you’ve done for PBC. We wish you all the best in retirement - and plenty of award-winning ribs along the way! 👏
