Storm Restoration Update

Aside from the Gooden Lake Rd incident, we are now down to just a few scattered addresses without service across our entire coverage area.

We have fewer than 50 customers offline systemwide.

Remaining outages are primarily final drop replacements and isolated repairs.

Crews will resume work in the morning to complete the last remaining items.

At this point, we have nearly everyone restored.

The contract crews who assisted with recovery have completed their work and returned home. Our team has worked seven days a week for several weeks straight, and we took the weekend to allow them a brief and well-earned break.

We are in the final stretch and expect to complete the remaining scattered outages shortly.

We sincerely appreciate the patience shown throughout this recovery effort.

Service Update – Gooden Lake Rd

We experienced another service disruption along Gooden Lake Rd due to theft.

A temporary fiber repair in that area was removed, and approximately 500 feet of fiber is now missing. This appears to be another attempt to steal copper, although there is no copper in fiber cable.

We are scheduled to splice in the new fiber run tomorrow morning and will restore service as quickly as possible.

We are coordinating with local authorities regarding repeated incidents in this area.

We will provide an update once service is restored.

Storm Restoration Update

We apologize for not posting daily updates this past week. Our crews have been fully focused on restoration efforts as we push through the final phase of recovery.

We are now in the home stretch.

Belzoni

Belzoni continues to have the highest number of remaining outages, largely due to extensive drop damage.

We are now under 100 cable modem customers offline.

We completed a mainline coax replacement on Jackson St today.

Customers on parts of Jackson St, Central St, and Bowles St should notice more stable service.

Crews are continuing to replace damaged drops throughout the city.

Humphreys County Fiber

We currently have 26 fiber customers offline countywide.

The majority of these are located along Gooden Lake Rd, where we are still completing repairs from severe damage in that area.

Anguilla

We are down to 7 customers offline.

We expect to complete restoration for the remaining customers tomorrow.

Rolling Fork

Rolling Fork currently has 26 customers offline.

We believe we have completed the final mainline fiber repairs.

Remaining work consists of individual drop replacements.

Restoration work continues everywhere as we work through the most difficult portion — the last scattered outages.

We are running low on certain materials and parts due to the scale of damage, but additional shipments are inbound and crews are continuing work as supplies arrive.

We appreciate the patience shown as we finish the final phase of restoration.

Storm Restoration Update

We continue working diligently to restore service to every remaining customer and are now in the final phase of repairs across several areas.

Belzoni

We are finishing a significant number of new fiber installs in Hayden Alley today, affecting customers on Hayden St and Church St.

Tomorrow, we expect to light up fiber for the remaining affected customers on Church St and Central St.

These are new fiber installations due to extensive coax damage in those areas.

We continue replacing individual service drops throughout Belzoni as we address scattered single-location outages.

Approximately 14% of cable modems remain offline, though some of those customers have already been converted to fiber or are being converted now.

We still have a mainline coax issue at Beechlane Apartments and are mobilizing resources to repair that as soon as possible.

Gooden Lake Rd / Luster Rd / 16th Section Rd

Where Gooden Lake Rd turns south, service has been restored temporarily. The cable is currently on the ground and will require permanent restoration once materials and scheduling allow.

Luster Rd and 16th Section Rd experienced complete destruction of plant.

Restoration in those areas is expected to begin next week.

Delays are due to permitting requirements and awaiting shipment of replacement materials.

Anguilla

A contract crew is on-site again today checking mainline signal levels and replacing damaged drops.

Many outages remain related to tree limb damage to service drops.

We are currently just over 20% offline, but expect that number to drop significantly as today’s work progresses.

Rolling Fork

Rolling Fork remains approximately 19% offline, with the majority centered around Carter Dr.

We now know the mainline fiber break is impacting both the north and south sides of Carter Dr and adjacent streets.

Our goal is to begin repairs tomorrow, likely continuing into Monday.

Humphreys County Fiber

Countywide fiber outages are now around 6%.

We understand how long this recovery has taken, particularly in the hardest-hit areas. Work is being prioritized based on infrastructure damage and material availability, and crews are moving area by area until restoration is complete.

We sincerely appreciate the patience shown as we finish the remaining repairs.

Storm Restoration Update – Belzoni, Anguilla & Rolling Fork

We are now in the slower phase of restoration in Belzoni as we work through remaining drop replacements and fiber conversions.

Belzoni

Crews are still installing a large number of new service drops and hanging new fiber.

Portions of Hayden St and Church St served from Hayden Alley are being converted to fiber. Fiber is being lit up today, and installations are beginning this morning.

The coax cable in Hayden Alley was too heavily damaged to repair, which required full replacement with fiber.

The east side of Church St and west side of Central St will most likely begin fiber installs tomorrow. Construction of new cable is complete, and we are finishing splicing.

Anguilla

A contract crew is in Anguilla today putting cable back up along Front St and assessing any additional damage that may not have been previously identified.

Rolling Fork

A contract crew is working in the Carter Drive area, reinstalling fiber on poles along the south side of Carter.

They will determine whether remaining outages are related to drops or if any additional mainline damage exists.

Gooden Lake Rd

Service has been restored following fiber damage caused by attempted copper theft earlier this week.

Luster Rd & 16th Section Rd

These areas still have extensive damage.

We are planning to begin work there next week.

We understand the length of this restoration process has been difficult. We are continuing to work area by area until every possible customer is restored.

Additional updates will follow as progress continues.

Gooden Lake Rd – Service Interruption Explanation

For customers south of the intersection of Gooden Lake Rd, Luster Rd, and 16th Section Rd, here is why service went down early this morning:

Our crews found that a section of cable had been intentionally pulled down. The lashing wire was cut, and the cable appears to have been hooked to a vehicle and pulled, breaking it in two places. The damaged cable was then left on the ground.

Based on the condition of the cable, this appears consistent with an attempted copper theft, although no copper is present in this cable.

Due to the extent of the damage and current crew assignments, we will not be able to begin even a temporary repair until sometime tomorrow. Once repairs begin, we will work to restore service as quickly as possible.

Edit: Entergy just updated Harpole St node outage restoration to 2PM

Storm Recovery Update

We continue to make progress across all service areas and want to share the latest status.

Anguilla

Approximately 70% of customers are back online following fiber repairs completed yesterday.

The remaining ~30% are believed to be related to downed service drops or additional damage that is still being identified and repaired.

Belzoni

We are attaching an image with this post showing the areas affected by mainline coax damage that cannot be repaired quickly.

Customers in those shaded areas will be transitioned to fiber service this week to restore connectivity as quickly as possible.

Fiber customers in Belzoni, including Silver City, Midnight, Hwy 7, and Hwy 12 East, are now under 8% without service.

The majority of remaining outages are drop-cable related, and crews are working street by street to replace both coax and fiber drops.

Rolling Fork

We are now at just under 21% of customers without service.

A fiber splicer will be on-site tomorrow to complete connections for newly installed drops and continue restoring customers.

Current Issue

We are investigating a new outage affecting the Harpole St node, which appears to be power-related.

Entergy is currently showing an estimated restoration time of 12:00 PM today.

How repairs are being handled

Crews in Belzoni today are installing new service drops for customers who are offline and not located in the shaded map areas.

We are not picking and choosing individual addresses. Crews are working one street at a time, checking every active service address on that street to ensure service is restored wherever possible.

Work is prioritized based on the greatest impact to the overall outage, which unfortunately can result in longer waits for customers in the most heavily damaged areas.

We sincerely apologize for the length of these outages. We know how disruptive this has been, and we appreciate the patience shown as we work through the most difficult portion of storm recovery.

Additional updates will be shared as progress continues.

02/06/2026

Storm Recovery Update

We continue to make steady progress across our network as repairs move from mainline restoration into customer-level work.

Belzoni – Cable Modem:
Edit: Approximately 78% of cable modem customers are now back online. Our monitoring software incorrectly showed 95% on this figure earlier.

Belzoni – Fiber:
About 93% of fiber customers are restored. Remaining outages are primarily due to damaged service drops, which crews are actively replacing.

Anguilla:
Anguilla remains 100% offline at this time. A contract crew is currently working on fiber repairs along Highway 61, and we will provide updates as progress continues.

Rolling Fork:
Approximately 22% of customers remain out of service. Crews are actively in the area replacing damaged drops and splicing fiber to restore service as quickly as possible.

Across Belzoni and Rolling Fork, much of our work now involves individual service drops, which takes time but allows us to bring customers back online one by one.

We appreciate everyone’s continued patience as we work through the remaining storm damage and will share additional updates as progress continues.

02/05/2026

Storm Recovery Update

We continue to make progress as crews work through storm-related damage across the network.

In several areas, we are now able to restore service to individual customers as damaged service drop lines are replaced.

Unfortunately, we have experienced new fiber damage that has taken Anguilla offline.

A significant portion of the fiber cable between Rolling Fork and Anguilla is currently on the ground, which is slowing repairs and increasing the scope of work.

To help accelerate recovery, an additional contract crew will be on-site tomorrow to assist with fiber repairs and service restoration.

We know setbacks like this are frustrating, especially after service has already been restored in some areas. Our crews are continuing to work safely and methodically to restore service as quickly as conditions allow.

We will provide another update as progress continues.

02/04/2026

Storm Recovery Update

We are continuing to make progress and are now under 20% of customers without service. The remaining outages are concentrated in the most heavily damaged areas, which are also the most difficult and time-consuming to repair.

At this stage, restoration is not simply a matter of turning service back on. As power returns and ice damage becomes visible, crews are finding additional issues involving mainline plant, fiber, and individual drop lines. Repairs must be completed safely and in the correct order.

As repairs continue, some customers who already have service restored may experience brief or intermittent outages while work is being performed in their area.

We understand how frustrating this can be. Many of our own employees and their families are also affected. We ask that customers treat our customer service representatives with patience and respect — they are working hard to assist and do not control repair timelines.

Please note:

If you have power and no service, please contact us once so the issue can be logged.

Repeated calls do not speed up repairs and may delay assistance for others.

Once reported, your outage remains in our system until crews can safely address it.
