Subterraneus Inc actually started years and years earlier with in home coax (When it was “Charter”) installs. From residential to commercial. From in house to subcontractor. From a tech to a corp. We then added drop bury to our services and started button drops by hand. From there we invested in small plows line 100sx and Linewards, slowly graduating to 255s and LMs. Our first mainline plow was a clapped out R100. Our first drill a 1997 JT520.
The slow transition and progression has given is t the ability to understand the entire process of telecommunications services. Which I think has played a major factor in our (now) success. Learning everything we can about everything we can allows is to not only understand and provide service in all areas of our industry, but to respect all areas as well.

It’s all just people on different paths doing the same thing.
When we roll in a trouble call and find what’s pictured. It would be easy to mock it. But, you know what? We all have a bad here and there!
An easy fix for us and the customer. An unfortunate outage and embarrassing coaching moment for the customer and technicians respectively.
But, it reminds us the knowledge from the ground up, knowing how a network is built and works from the Head End to a customers IPad, helps us create systems and habits that keep a small mistake from causing a big issue.
