When a dear friend asks you to help create a special Valentine’s Day gift for their first as a married couple, you say yes x1000.

Lyrics from Beyond by Leon Bridges. Which was playing in the photo used, as they danced as a married couple for the first time.

 It was such an honor to be trusted with a project this special. One that has meaning, and will live in a special and private place. One that will be seen daily as a reminder of their love. Thank you for the opportunity

✨ Enchanted ✨

With everyone going crazy trying to get tickets to T Swifts new tour, I felt it appropriate to share this artwork.
Created for as a wedding gift of sorts. I really loved how this one turned out. Inspired by your favorite childhood animated love stories, I loved the idea of an enchanted forest look. Full moon, dark colors. I thought it helped deliver the scene described by Taylor in this song. ⭐️🌙🧚✨
Also thinking of getting these printed. Any Tay Swift fans out there that would be interested in a poster or even a T Shirt? (Swipe through for a sample). Let me know!

Ambition is defined as "a strong desire to do or to achieve something, typically requiring determination and hard work." A theme that resonates with anyone with a dream or goal. This song, like a lot of rap songs, highlights the ability to do what it takes, the grind and relentlessness it takes to succeed and survive. Some have it, some don't...
I love this intro to the song. It sets the scene, a precursor to the stories about to unfold. The way it sounds so effortless, like it really is in his DNA the way he speaks it. It’s done so in the cool coded, poetic style wale is known for. All while the beat grows through his words, bringing you to the start of this journey.

Showing your work can be difficult, it’s like letting people peek into your brain. The scattered thoughts, the rough ideas or sketches, and incomplete thoughts, I feel like it all looks so unorganized or make no sense, and just plain bad. Your worried people will judge the art before they see the result sometimes and that can feel anxious and insecure a bit, you’re opening yourself up to be vulnerable.
I’m such a visual person that I see things when I’m exploring that help fill in the blanks so to speak. It’s like my sketching is just creating the landscape to try out an idea, see if it fits, and my mind can run away with it in my head. I don’t need to even finish the idea on the paper because I already see it. Fixing my process to document this journey and my thoughts is tough - because I can see it so much better executed in my head then on paper - but learning to show how I get to my finish line is important for many reasons. It’s so raw, it’s scary. But f**k it. Here we go…

This was a fun one! As I’ve mentioned I do posters as 🏆 for my fantasy league. This was our 2021 winner!
Inspired by a local wing joint and their fan favorite Rub-A-Dub dry rub. The previous years draft we had them catered and a friend mis-quoted the name, and added “Duck”. It was funny. It stuck.

Had the opportunity to make something special for a dear friend. As an anniversary present, I created a poster with the beautiful lyrics from their first dance as a married couple. Simple, yet unique, and subtle embodiment of the song into the style. 🎨 palette inspiration from the room it will exist in (see last 📸) Thank you for trusting me with such an important project. I think it turned killer! 🎤
