AI agents are rapidly becoming autonomous participants in digital systems, but a fundamental question remains: who is accountable for them?

Yesterday, Innovation Labs submitted a proposal to the Internet Engineering Task Force - IETF for -Anchored Durable Identity (DNSid), an open standard for establishing durable, verifiable ownership of AI agents.

We look forward to contributing to the development of governance frameworks for AI agents working with the LF Decentralized Trust and Agentic AI Foundation, as well as, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE) to make a practical, interoperable foundation for agent accountability.
