Backwood Realm BBS

Originally founded as a dial-in in two locations between 1996-1998 on Wildcat! BBS Software, we now run Synchronet since 2008 and have been online 24/7/365 since then. Running on a retired Dell Desktop from 2003 in the family laundry room, we host several logins a day, mostly people playing our games, and are always trying to improve the system. Some custom development has been done on the system,

including utils written by myself, Tim Wray (BBS Sysop), in languages like VB.NET, C #, php, and even one written in Qbasic. It serves as my development playground, to practice and keep skills sharp. Technologies used: Synchronet BBS, Apache, Microsoft SQL sever, PHP, QB, VB.NET, FTP, QWK...lots of old and lots of new. Located in Bedford, Indiana, we're proud to be the only BBS left in southern Indiana!
