It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our founder, Eugene (Gene) Rogers (May 22, 1940-July 2, 2019. Gene served in the United States Air Force and retired after 22 years of service as a Major. He founded RCF Information Systems in 1979 and held a seat on our board of directors until his passing. As President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr. Rogers grew RCF from fewer than 10 employees to over 140. As a result of his efforts, RCF was recognized as 1992 Minority Business of the Year in the Small Business Association’s Columbus District. In 1995, Mr. Rogers won the Entrepreneur of the Year Award on behalf of RCF. He is survived by his wife, Diana Rogers; two children, two stepsons, 4 siblings, 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 12, 2019 in Newberry, Florida.
