I’m currently participating in the with the task of a new . I grew up in the Detroit area and reminisced about The Bad Boys era of the late 80s/early 90s. I loved Isiah Thomas. And even met Bill Laimbeer (not a shocker he was a jerk).

So here’s my take on the throw back Bad Boys with an actual piston. After my research there are minimal verions that aren’t just a typographic expression.

I grew up by Detroit- so my original love in football is the Lions. Scott Mitchell, Barry Sanders and Wayne Fontes was my childhood. Heading to the Pontiac Silverdome and tailgating before the game. Going to a Monday Night Football - Lions and 49ers when I was in 8th grade with my older brother. Restore the ROAR!

Origo Education needed a series of animated videos to showcase new features to Stepping Stones 2.0.

Tiny Human Creative Activity- we used rolled white paper and colored it to make wrapping paper. 4 year old loved it. 1 year old loved taking off the marker tops. I think it turned out pretty great.

GO BEYOND — I don’t think I could be more proud of a project. I had the pleasure of collaborating with , and the McGraw Hill crew to put this K-12 campaign into motion. I’ll post more in the next few days, but this was the main “rig” that we came up with. Look out for some of the animation soon.

It was a huge project, 4 animated explainer videos, a movie style trailer, social media and PowerPoint slide libraries for the sales team.

The 4 sub words are the main “proof points of the campaign.

The Hatrick Swayzes. This is a good story. Buckle up.
🏒 Notice that Instagram filter. Why? Because this photo is from 13 years ago. I had done a Patrick Swayze illustration just for fun and had it on my website. I was contacted by a beer league hockey team in New Jersey to see if they could use it for their jerseys. Of course! I added Patrick to a shield and sent them the vector file. My only stipulation was that I needed a jersey.

So here is my now wife, , modeling the jersey in Tucson, where we were living at the time.

Even more fun is that Yahoo picked up the story on the art and team named and wrote an article about it. I’ve been contacted by one other team, but I still see my Swayze used for other teams. Nobody puts baby in a corner.
