Landlines telephone outage - we are hearing there has been a fiber line cut somewhere in Iowa affecting landlines circuits, some in Wapello County. This may also affect 911 from a landlines. Information is vague at this time. Be aware in case of emergency you may need to use alternate methods of communicating.

Citizens Mutual will be doing a maintenance tonight starting at 12:01 am to replace our core equipment in our central office. There will be periods of network outages during this process.

Earlier this afternoon we experienced an outage that affected all services in our area. We recognize how frustrating loss of service can be.
