This past weekend felt like somebody opened a time capsule and let the whole waterfront dance.

Yacht Rock the Dock brought that smooth 70s feeling back to Pier Six, with Peter Beckett, Ambrosia, Elliot Lurie, Walter Egan, and John Ford Coley giving Baltimore the kind of music that makes people smile before they even realize they’re singing along. The harmonies, the memories, the breeze off the harbor, the crowd swaying like we all knew every word… it was nostalgia in real time.

You could feel how much these songs still mean to people. They weren’t just hits — they were memories. Road trips, cookouts, first dances, old radios, summer nights, and that classic soft rock sound that never really left us.

Last night felt like Baltimore breathing again.

Pier Six Pavilion is officially back, and you could feel the energy from the moment people started walking in. The music, the waterfront, the crowd, the smiles, the way the city showed up — it was more than a reopening. It was a reminder of what Baltimore does when culture, community, and vision meet in one place.

We were honored to be there capturing the story. Not just the performances, but the feeling. The laughter. The movement. The pride. The moments that remind you why this city deserves stages like this, nights like this, and memories like this.

Seeing Pier Six come back to life under The Finn Group’s leadership was special. Baltimore showed up, the people had fun, and the night felt like the beginning of something powerful.

We’re grateful to cover it, grateful to witness it, and proud to help tell the story of a venue that means so much to this city.

For generations, Pier Six Pavilion has been a part of the soundtrack of Baltimore summers — legendary performances, unforgettable nights, families, friends, music echoing across the harbor… real moments that stay with people for years.

So to now serve as part of the in-house media team is something we don’t take lightly.

As a Baltimore-based company, it means a lot to help capture the next chapter of a venue that has meant so much to this city and its culture.
