We’ve recently added our new Food Insecurity data layer to MapDash™, and it’s proving to be an eye-opener. The USDA maps do a solid job of defining food deserts by considering factors like income and access to healthy foods. However, our new layer goes a step further by not only highlighting where these deserts are but also shedding light on broader food insecurity issues within communities.
