He is well-versed in a variety of filmmaking roles, but works primarily as an editor, animator, and sound mixer. The majority of Cory's works are based in a non-narrative format allowing for an intensely personal experience. His films revolve around themes of emotional discovery, mental health, social justice, political satire, modern transcendentalism and the collision of spirituality and science
. His experimental work has been screened at the John's Hopkins Film Festival, the Towson University Media Arts Festival, the Media Active Activist Showcase, and the Halfway There Film Festival. Cory has also had experience working with non-profit organizations to create promotional videos for use on the web and beyond. In conjunction with Lambda Kappa Tau's Holliday Project, he has produced videos for Centerstage, the YMCA, and Bello Machre. He is currently working on projects for the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence and Our House of Maryland. Cory was also the Spring 2011 intern for Wide Angle Youth Media - an organization that uses media to engage middle-to-high school age children with their communities. He assisted in teaching the Baltimore Speaks Out! program and helped to write the editing and animation curriculum. Cory has had experience working with high definition and standard definition video, as well as 16mm film.
