Logic Trace System offers an easy way to create CNC Cut files. Place the part or pattern on the tracing board and trace with the pen stylus. In this example I trace the outline and inside shapes using lines, arcs, and circles. The saved DXF files is ready to load into any CNC software.

I create a DXF vector file for this Marine plate pattern using Logic Trace software and a tracing device and pen stylus. I used the tracing features of lines and arcs with the option to smooth the line to arc transitions. Very quickly I have an accurate DXF file ready to load into CNC, CAD, or other software.

I have a paper pattern of a logo sent to me with the question, how can I get the best dxf vector file to cut on my CNC machine? I marked a plan using lines and arcs with Logic Trace. Besides creating vector files from patterns and parts placed on a tracing table, Logic Trace offers a screen tracing mode. This video moves the Logic Trace command and trace windows to a high resolution graphics tablet and traces a pattern using a screen pen using lines, arcs, and circles. Very fast and easy.
