As you may know, Meltdown and Spectre are pseudonyms for very serious exploits that affect pretty much "anything with a CPU" in it. For a short video of what it does, please watch the video below. We have updated all linux operating systems, as patches were made available. At this time, we are still waiting for firmware patches by the server vendors and based on their responsiveness thus far, it may take weeks or months until all devices get a firmware update. Over the course of the next few days you will get operating system updates on your local devices. Again, this will only be half of the necessary work to be done. Watch out for firmware updates as well!
Once you have applied all necessary updates on your local devices, we recommend to change all of your passwords.
