Prepare. Proceed. Progress.

This is a principle I developed and apply to everything I do. It’s an infinite cycle to becoming better—prepare, proceed, and progress. Over and over. It’s how I approach life, business, and even the small things. Here's a recent example of how this played out while working on a project for a client:

First, I prepared by truly listening to my client. I took the time to understand their pain points and desired outcomes. I went through a process of gathering insights, noting what worked and what didn’t, drafting ideas, and conceptualizing a solution that could meet their needs.

Then, I proceeded by diving deep into their current system. I evaluated how things were working, pinpointing the gaps that needed attention and where we could make improvements. It wasn’t about massive changes but about finding subtle yet powerful adjustments that would make a big difference.

Now, I’m progressing into the next stage—putting together a final draft outline and getting their approval. Once we’re aligned, I’ll prepare time to install it, go through the process of setting it up, and turn it on. Then the cycle starts again: prepare, proceed, progress—continuously refining and growing.

This process never stops. It’s how I grow, how I improve my work, and how I help others reach their goals. It’s the foundation of my approach to life and business.

Many feel overwhelmed when it comes to running ads on different platforms, but the truth is—they're all pretty much the same. Others will say different BUT the fundamentals are the same. Whether you're setting up Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Facebook Ads, or even ads on platforms like Pinterest, TikTok, or Snapchat, the process follows a similar path.

The Content Consumption Funnel: From Short Form to Lifetime Follower. It's all about the content consumption funnel.

Yesterday I posted about how to take one long-form piece of content and turn it into +50 usable pieces. Now it's time to show why you'd care to do that.

1. Short-Form: The Appetizer 🍱
It's much easier to introduce yourself to someone when they know that the investment is low. 30 to 60 seconds. Bite-sized content with a great relative hook that's impossible to scroll past:

Snappy TikTok videos

Eye-catching Instagram Reels

Twitter one-liners that pack a punch

Why?
Because in today's fast-paced world, you've got about 3 seconds to grab someone's attention. Make 'em count.

2. Medium-Form: The Main Course 🍽️

If they enjoyed your short form by entertaining or educating them about something, raising their dopamine or curiosity, they've had a taste and now time to serve up something meatier:

5-minute YouTube videos

Carousel posts on Instagram or LinkedIn

Podcast snippets or blog post summaries

This is where you start building a real connection. They're intrigued, and now they're ready to invest a little more time.

3. Long-Form: The Full Gourmet Experience 👨‍🍳

For those who've stuck around, they are in and they want more in-depth explanation, it's time to go all out:

In-depth YouTube videos or full podcast episodes

Comprehensive blog posts or articles

Webinars or live Q&A sessions

This is the good stuff. The people who consume your long-form content are the ones who are really buying into what you're serving (notice how I didn't say selling).

4. Lifetime Follower: The Chef's Table 🏆

At the end of this reverse funnel if you will are your audience. No one got here by accident.

Engage with your content across platforms

Share your stuff with their networks

Might even buy your products or service

Don't see them as just consumers anymore; they're part of your community (which will likely be my next post: Community Building)

Why This Strategy Works 🚀

Respects attention spans: Starts small, gradually asking for more investment.

Builds trust: Each step deepens the relationship.

Caters to preferences: Some will stop at short-form, others will dive deep – and that's okay!

Creates a journey: From casual observer to engaged community member.

Remember, not everyone will make it to superfan status, and that's fine! Each level of the funnel adds value to your brand and helps spread your message.

So, next time you're planning your content strategy, think like a chef planning a tasting menu.

Turn One Video into +50 Pieces of Strategic Content: How the Big Boys Do It

Ever feel like you're constantly scrambling for new content ideas? Well this is what we do with our clients and you should to:

One long format piece of content turned into A LOT of content, value, and audience insight.

Think about it like this. You've got this awesome long-form video from a podcast, interview, or workshop. It's packed with insights, but who's got time to watch an hour-long video these days, right?

(Honestly... some people, haha, like me).

Here's how to get the most out of it:

The Written Word: First, turn that video into an article. Now you have a new website article, blog post, email newsletter to send out, LinkedIn Article, etc. You see the point.

Audio for the Win:
Strip the audio and voilà! You've got yourself a podcast episode. Spread it across Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and all those other platforms. Now you're reaching the multitaskers and commuters.

Medium Form:
Here's my favorite part. Cut that long video into medium-sized chunks. Maybe it's a 5-minute segment on a specific topic that came up during the 1 hour video. Post these on YouTube or IGTV. You're now serving those who want more than a snack but less than a full meal.

Short Form:
After those medium pieces have gotten some attention and engagemen , create short, snappy content based on the medium pieces that got the most ranking (or post them all because we all know it's about posting consistently too). Think 30 to 60 second tips for TikTok, IG Reels, or punchy quotes for Instagram. This is for the scrollers and the "I've got no time" crowd.

Life Time Follower:
Ideally, they will trickle up from short format, to medium format, to long format, to life time real follower.

But here's the kicker – it's not just about spreading your content far and wide. It's about learning what resonates.

Watch how people react to each piece.

Which bits get the most likes?

The most shares?

That's your audience telling you what they want more of!

And guess what?

All this insight feeds right back into your next big piece of content.
It becomes a never-ending cycle of curated resonating content.
So, next time you create one big piece of content, remember:

You're not just creating one thing. You're setting yourself up for weeks (maybe even months) of content that your audience will love.
