We recently brought together a curated group of investors and defense technology leaders in San Francisco for an evening with Matt Youngblood, CEO of FlexRadio.

The conversation centered on a fascinating piece of technology that most people rarely think about: high-frequency radio and its ability to enable global communications without relying on satellites.

Matt shared the story behind FlexRadio, the evolution of its technology, its commercial applications, and the broader opportunities he sees for the company. The discussion also touched on the growing importance of resilient communications as governments and critical infrastructure operators plan in environments where satellite connectivity may not always be available.

As with many of our Investor Dinners, the presentation was only the starting point. The most interesting part was the conversation that followed—thoughtful questions from investors, diverse perspectives around the table, and new connections that continued over dinner.
