10/20/2026
I just wanted to check in. I’m still here. I’m planning my return to crafting soon. It’s just going to be a little longer. This season of life has simply taken me away from it.
Being a full-time caregiver for my niece during her brain cancer with glioblastoma has probably been one of the most challenging times of my life.
Now that she has left us. I’m discovering that my time in this service capacity is not quite finished. Since no one else could do i am now serving as executor for her estate and the trustee for her 14-year-old son. The judge in Kentucky will not let me take my oath over Zoom so I have to return to Kentucky this coming week for one last trip.
I’m so grateful that in the mix of all of this, I still had the opportunity to travel to Malawi. Africa with Watts of Love and it was an amazing experience. Such a blessing to be a part of.
I really do miss crafting and creating with all of you. And I know this season of my life will pass. But for right now, this has been exactly where I’ve been needed and I am at peace with that.
On top of everything else. We have had some very challenging situations with our adult kids, our finances and other family relationships. I know that my savior has given me strength this year and given me the opportunity to rely on his arm and not my own.
2026 has been a year for the refiners fire. The more I rely on the Lord for my strength and comfort the more I realize how much I need my savior in all aspects of my life and if that is the lesson that I’ve been given this year I will not waste it.
I have been so wrapped up in all of these issues that I have forgotten to look outward. I ask your forgiveness and I pray for you and your family as well and hope that your 2026 has been just a little better than mine. But if it hasn’t, then I’m so sorry I did not reach out. Please know that I love and care for you all and hope the blessings of God are upon you.
