One of the best lines we heard at ATWS Québec City was: “Treat AI like your drunk intern.”

In other words, let it help with the work, but remember that what it gives you is a rough draft, not a final draft. Check it, clean it up, and use your judgment before it goes anywhere.

That’s a pretty good rule for automation too.
There’s a lot of repetitive work in a tour business that technology can take off your team’s plate. Booking confirmations. Payment reminders. Reports. Moving information between systems. But automating a task doesn’t mean removing people from the process entirely.

The goal is to let technology handle the repetitive tasks while your team stays focused on the things that actually need a human.
Less time chasing details. More time for guests, your team, and the next great trip.

What were people talking about at ATWS Québec City? 🍁🏔️

A lot of AI. A lot of changing traveler expectations. And plenty of conversation around safety, accessibility, sustainability, and the future of adventure travel.

But one question kept coming up: How can technology help us do more without losing the human side of travel?

We’ll be sharing a few of our biggest takeaways soon. 👀💡

“It’s just one small change.”
Famous last words.
Because in a multi-day tour business, one change rarely affects just one thing.
It can ripple through itineraries, suppliers, costs, bookings, and your team.
That’s a lot to keep moving.
PEAK 15 keeps every moving part in sync.
Because running the trip is a trip in itself.

We're not going to ATWS Québec City to talk about software. We're going to talk about the business behind your trips.
• How do you scale without creating more complexity?
• How do you get your team out of the weeds?
• How do you make better use of the data you're already collecting?
• How do you build systems that can keep up when the business you've built is no longer the business you started?

Those are the conversations we're looking forward to having in Québec City.
Because at the end of the day, it's not really about the software. It's about building a better, more sustainable multi-day travel business.
Heading to ATWS Québec City? Come find us. Let's talk. 👋

Multi-day tour operators: who's going to ATWS Québec City? 👀
Brittany Hurst and Stephanie Wescott are heading to Québec City with one goal: have good conversations with the people running multi-day travel businesses.

What's getting harder as you grow?
Where is your team spending too much time?
What's working? What's not?
And what's next?

We'll be there to listen, learn, and talk shop.
If you're at ATWS, come say hi. 👋
Let's talk multi-day travel.

Adventure travel is growing. 📈
The more interesting story is how operators are choosing to grow.

According to the latest article from the Adventure Travel Trade Association, many operators are shifting their focus from growth at all costs to stronger operations, healthier margins, and more diversified offerings.

For multi-day tour operators, that's an important mindset shift. Sustainable growth isn't just about adding more departures. It's about building a business that's ready to support them.

It's a great read if you haven't seen it yet. 👇

The best tour operators we've worked with don't rely on one big breakthrough.
Instead, they're constantly looking for ways to improve the little things that make a big difference over time.

✔ Standardize repeatable processes
✔ Learn from every season
✔ Invest in their people

Those habits don't just create smoother operations. They help build stronger teams and better guest experiences.

What's one lesson your team has learned this season that you'll carry into the next?

Every multi-day tour operator has a different way of doing business.
For some, every booking is a custom itinerary with unique suppliers, pricing, and guest requests. For others, it's all about managing departures, rooming lists, and keeping group logistics running smoothly.

Neither model is easier. They simply come with different operational challenges.
🧩 Custom FIT
📅 Scheduled Departures
🔀 A mix of both

No matter which model you operate, there's always something keeping your team busy. What's been your biggest operational challenge lately?

Growth is exciting.
Growing without adding staff or sacrificing the guest experience? That's ✨even better✨.
That's why this feedback from Karen Katt at Adventures in Good Company means so much to us:
"We were able to increase both the number of trips we offered and the number of guests we served, without an increase in staff or a decrease in customer service."

That's the kind of growth every tour operator strives for.

🧭 Where does your guest experience quietly break down?

Our interactive guide, Better Trips Start Here, walks through each stage of the guest journey, from first inquiry through post-trip follow-up, with an interactive template your team can use to map out where your own operation has friction — and what to do about it.

It's not theory. It's a practical tool for finding the specific places where streamlined operations change what your guests actually feel.
