SellerSmile is here to make sellers smile. Why? Because we keep their customers happy!

The name “SellerSmile “was invented in about five minutes. Back in 2017, there were several companies in the space that shared similar names, "Seller Labs", "Seller Engine", etc. This way of naming companies immediately communicated the purpose of the business was to serve online merchants.

Since we were getting into customer service, we wanted to communicate the opposite of what customer service had become: unhappy, difficult, drudgery, etc. Doing support well can be an unhappy, difficult job, but it doesn't have to be!

I wanted a name that communicated happiness, positivity, and lightheartedness, a different way to relate to your customers.

After a few minutes of ideas like "SellerHappy", "SellerFriend", we came to “SellerSmile", it had a clear ring to it, the alliteration made it sound smooth and everyone knows how warm a smile can be, and thus, SellerSmile was born!

The original 'checkout.liquid' code used by Shopify is becoming obsolete and can no longer be used past the deadline of August 13th, 2024.

Shopify outlined how to upgrade and the impact of not upgrading on their upgrade guide: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/checkout-settings/customize-checkout-configurations/checkout-extensibility
