Harvest Records is an award-winning record shop started by Matt Schnable & Mark Capon in August 2004. Our goal from day one has been to provide an authentic, engaging record store experience for our customers without the condescension normally associated with such experiences. We also are actively engaged in the booking & promotion of national/international touring acts for concerts in Asheville. Since our first official show in September 2004 (Mount Eerie @ the Wedge Gallery), we've brought hundreds of bands to a variety of venues, like the Grey Eagle, Diana Wortham Theater, Fine Arts Theatre, Stella Blue, BeBe Theater, Marshall High Studios and many others.. We expanded our physical space in March 2011 offering thousands more titles on both CD and vinyl, as well as turntables, turntable accessories, cassette tapes and most importantly, elbow room. We also now have a small stage to host in-store performances.
***If you are interested in selling or trading CDs or VINYL, please stop by Monday-Saturday between Noon-5pm. It's also even better if you call ahead of time to make sure the proper personnel will be around.
***If you are interested in having your band play at Harvest or a show presented by Harvest elsewhere in Asheville, please write the email address below. HOWEVER, please keep in mind that we get multiple requests daily, and it's actually rare that we can accomodate shows which we aren't seeking out ourselves.
