Creative Creamery is hosting a Cancer Benefit for our former employee, Bella McNamee!
On Saturday, March 8th from 1:00-9:00 pm, Creative Creamery is donating 50% of all proceeds to her for her medical expenses. This benefit will be in BOTH locations!
Here’s a little bit about her story from Bella directly!
“Hey y’all, my name is Bella McNamee. I worked at the Creative Creamery in Asheboro back in 2023. This past October, I was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of bone cancer. Even before my diagnosis, I was already struggling with mobility—I relied on crutches and a wheelchair to get around, constantly elevating my leg with heating pads, ice packs, ace bandages—anything that might bring relief. But no amount of pain medication could fully ease the agony. As the cancer grew, it weakened my femur, making it incredibly fragile. On October 27, while simply trying to get out of bed, my femur—one of the strongest bones in the human body—snapped in half. Three days later, on October 30, I underwent an above-the-knee amputation. Going through cancer treatment, I knew I was going to lose a lot, and I prayed over and over, “Take anything but my leg.” But about a week before my amputation, my prayer changed—I just wanted the pain to stop, and that’s exactly what God did. Losing my leg has been the best thing that’s happened to me. It gave me relief, and it gave me a new beginning. Now, I’m halfway through chemotherapy, and I just received my first prosthetic leg. The journey of learning to walk again has begun. Yes, there have been painful, heartbreaking, and difficult moments, but there’s also so much good—so much hope, strength, and inspiration in my story. The best part is my journey isn’t over yet. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for me, and I’m excited to share it with the world.”
To know her is to love her. Bella graduated South West Randolph High School in 2024. She is a light to her community and to those around her. Please come pack the house at both places to show her the love and support!
If you can’t make it and want to donate please contact Katelyn at 919-930-5944! We will also have “donation only” boxes set up at both locations.
