I'm just going to say it. I helped make this happen. My friend Renée Dawson ❤️ at LCPS shared with me that they have been wanting to get this project off the ground for YEARS & I said I would make it happen.

With the help of my AFCOM board & many sponsors, we purchased Flags of Valor kits for 3,100 first graders in Loudoun County Public Schools. They were assembled this week in remembrance of Memorial Day. I am still on cloud nine. Amazing experience. I met a Purple Heart Veteran Colonel. I cried. I was speechless. It was everything I hoped for and more.

Her “Fearless Girls” are using art to move the needle on important issues facing the future of our girls. I was instantly in love with her & her mission! Wore my shirt proudly to REI & another fan recognized it!

GIRL POWER! This week I attended the Loudoun Chamber of Commerce Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) presentations & these students are AMAZING. I created logos for three of the young ladies in the program. I was instantly impressed by all three when I met them & their presentations were fantastic.

Last night I attended a fundraiser/information event for Girls Rule the Court a USTA Mid-Atlantic Foundation program I have the honor to work on. Hearing how sports empower girls first-hand from a pro tennis player was inspiring. "To close the achievement gap, we have to close the opportunity gap." – Melanie Oudin, USTA

is to my neighbor who shared her eclipse glasses with us & then the woman walking in the park behind our house who gave us a spare pair! I didn’t know I really was even that interested in it, but as it was happening something about the eclipse made me feel connected to the past. Imagine people looking up & not know where the sun “went.” So ya. It was cool.

Some of the fancy terms I came up with were: “good”, “tasteless”, “needs a drop of water” “herbal & tastes like food” and “kinda sweet”. Our Little Bit Whiskey came out a top contender, as an easy to drink option. Of our ABC selections, I have to go with Eagle Rare. Whiskey hobbies, settling in to a nice drink now …
