CareJourney analyzed the open CMMI data from DCE/ACO REACH in 2021-2022. The analysis focused on how these models brought new beneficiaries, providers, and entities to value-based care, supporting CMS' goal of having all Medicare beneficiaries in an accountable care relationship by 2030. The findings:

• 50% of beneficiaries aligned to a DCE were not part of MSSP 2016-2022
• 43% of Participating Providers associated with a DCE were not part of MSSP 2016-2021
• 12 DCEs grew alignment by more than 100% in 2022

As an authorized researcher of CMMI data files, CareJourney conducted a preliminary analysis of DCE and ACO REACH performance in 2021-2022 to understand how these models have impacted recent value-based care growth, including impacts on underserved populations. Read our analysis to see:
